Bought some NY Strip here yesterday about 5 pm, took it home within a half hour, put it in my fridge. Opened them up this morning to dry brine for tonight and they smell disgusting.. haven’t been to Von Hansons in 5 years or so and now I remember why they freeze everything. I’ll be back in today for either a replacement or a refund. I’ll take my review down if they handle it well. Only reason you get two stars is the kid who rang me up was very nice and customer service has been good so far.

Von Hanson's used to sell world famous beef jerky. I bought several packages for the boundary waters and found them to be little more than cardboard. Shame.

We had Von Hanson's cater our wedding, and we couldn't be happier with the whole experience! Food was excellent! Service was excellent!I also want to make sure to mention that, even though they are primarily a butcher shop, they also provided some great vegetarian options for our friends and family who do not eat meat.I do not recall the names of the two people who worked our event. I was the groom, and got a lot of names thrown at me that day, but they were fantastic. For the owners, our event was on 9/16/23 at 6pm. The two people who worked it were amazing.

Planning a special meal I ordered a center cut beef tenderloin, trimmed, to be prepared as a roulade. It turned out delicious and was so tender. I can always count on them when I need the perfect cut of meat.

My favorite stop for the best meal ever. Doggo's too. All family is happy with the healthy plethora of options. Granted not for all healthstyles. Has a good variety of meats, veggie, deli and seasonings.. plus more. This is a weekly staple.

The store is fine. The staff were fantastic. However, I like to buy my pig ears in packs of 8. I’ve been storing and feeding them to my pups for years but something within this batch was off. These pig ears made my dogs sick and molded within a few days. With all the recalls in the past, it definitely makes me think twice about going back.

Horrible customer service. Decent dog bones. No expiration date placed on the twiced baked potatoes, instead of providing the fresh steak kabobs they pass on the brown old ones. I'd say they know how to cash in the chips but don't return the favor.
