It was our first time here and came for a birthday. We had great service and a variety of food; everything was delicious and fresh. We definitely will be back!
This is a pretty good place to hangout. People with pets would love this as it has a separate area for people who bring pets. The staff are friendly. Cocktails selection is decent but not the best, good beer selection. We ordered the boasted chicken and the sauce was so good. Smoked bacon burger was okay, the bacon tomato jam on it was not the best.
Very pricey. Cheapest burger is $14. They add 4 pct for employee wellness. Waitress came to table with machine to run credit card and it automatically added 20 pct gratuity without my consent. They should only allow dogs on parking lot section of patio but they also allow them on attached better patio. Hubby liked key lime shake, but is shouldn't be $13.
Loved the dog menu and concept. Perfect place to bring your pups. Menu is large and they’ve got something for everybody. I had the chicken sandwich , spicy style. Giant sized! I absolutely loved the lavender lemonade cocktail. So good. I’ll bring my dog back here again for sure.
DO NOT EAT HERE! We had high expectations for The Block and love that they have a pawtio, but the food and service were awful. We ordered coffee and the server brought our coffee in a used mug - we tried to wipe the coffee off the outside of the mug thinking it maybe spilled on his way over and it was caked on. We asked for a new mug and told our server we had concerns for using someone else’s mug given the pandemic and he seemed appalled that we asked! We ordered two brunch dishes and they were brought out within 5 mins of us ordering, which seemed odd, but we were trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, the food was cold. We had ordered the chilaquiles and the chips were soggy, eggs were cold and it was suppose to come with carnitas, but there were no carnitas in the entree. It seemed the dish was meant for someone else but we got it. We found our server to ask about it and he made us a new chilaquiles, but it wasn’t until after my partner finished his meal that we were able to get the new dish. We were hoping our server would at least apologize, but he never did and instead still charged us for all the entrees and used coffee.Terrible service and we were very disappointed in the food. It seems pre-made and unfortunately their food and service can’t make up for the dog friendly atmosphere.
I had a wonderful experience here on a random Friday night and it wasn’t very busy so it was a nice chill atmosphere on the patio. The waitress was nice and had some great suggestions for drinks and food. Ultimately I went with the cheese curds and a spicy chicken sandwich. Everything was good, and wallet friendly. Would definitely return with more friends since the restaurant was such a good vibe.
EDITED REVIEWSecond experience: I decided to go all out. Dessert, drink and meal. Although there were multiple servers standing about I sat awhile before someone helped me, finally helped because the manager on duty noticed. The berries crisp (dessert) was yummy, it’s all preference but a gooey warm oatmeal cookie would be better than a crispy one. Also note: if you are diabetic/pre-diabetic there isn’t much choice in drinks for you. The broasted chicken was more proportional to a sandwich - I did find some bones in the chicken, so be careful.First experience: Disappointed with The Block. The chicken sandwich beckoned me with that great photo but when I got the sandwich is was more bun than chicken. :( it’s expensive for so little chicken. The taste was good but I won’t be returning.
Super nice outdoor seating and really nice ambiance in the inside. It has some on-site parking and ample street parking. Food was delicious and service was great.I hear the brunch menu is to die for, so I will definitely be returning. It is a dog friendly restaurant, so if you are not a pet person outdoor seating won't be for you, however the inside of the restaurant is still for "humans only" ?. Try their chicken options, ouffda so yummy!!!
This place is so yummy and so cute! Their menu has a variety of different things. We tried the yumyum bowl and the guava bbq boneless wings. Both were amazing! Wings were not over breaded and had a lot of sauce. Ranch is 10/10 too. Def recommend!
Just a solid meh. Service was okay. I'll try something different next time.... If I give it another shot. The patties seem to be difficult for the kitchen to prepare to temp with the skirt of cheese.
Decided to stop by and give The Block a try after kayaking since we were hungry and needed drinks. There was street parking and they had an overflow parking lot across the street which was close by and convenient. The space was nice, clean, modern and trendy. They had two outside patio places. We were greeted and seated pretty quickly and got a outside patio table as requested. I ordered a Lavender lemonade which is mixed with vodka, lavender and their house made lemonades. OMG. That was so refreshing and tasty! We ordered the Buffalo Cauliflower, Honey Pecan Chicken Salad and the Korean BBQ Yum Yum bowl. Buffalo Cauliflower was deep fried cauliflower with vegan Buffalo sauce, coconut flour batter, served with vegan dill ranch and carrots. Honey Pecan Chicken Salad has crispy friend chicken, honey pecan drizzle, greens, grapes, strawberries, apples, boiled eggs tossed with green goddess dressing. Korean BBQ Yum Yum bowl had marinated steak, kimchee, sunny side up egg, coconut rice and yum yum sauce. Everything was oh so delicious! Staff and service was fast and friendly! Greatly appreciate it! Will be back to try more items in the near future!
I go to The Block regularly, and my experience is consistently good enough to make me go back weekly. Their selection is small, but crafted with care. They have plenty of drinks from the bar, yet also pretty good coffee?? Having a cold brew coffee with broasted chicken is never something i would do at a restaurant, but I love it.Comfortable atmosphere, authentic customer service, and cleanliness make it a consistently enjoyable experience every time.
Delicious food and they treat dogs like royalty! They even have a dog menu. I have two smaller dogs and they can easily share an entree. Their slushies are tasty and their burgers are also juicy and delicious.
Amazing food and drinks! Definitely more of a hang out with friends type of restaurant instead of a family one though!
This place was awesome! The menu for the dogs is super fun! We brought a dish home and our dog has never eaten so fast!! Great vibe throughout the whole bar. Can't wait to come back and try a shake next time.
