We’ve eaten at the Block (on the Pawtio) several times. We’ve never had poor food or service, in fact, the excellent food and service keeps us coming back for more!! We also love that our dog is welcome to join us! To the staff at The Block: Keep doing what you’re doing, because it’s fantastic!

Unique food, large, large craft beer selection, awesome staff! Cannot complain in the slightest! And the waitress had suggestions on how to adapt the food to my liking. Wish we could go back!Kid-friendliness: Kids liked the kids menu and they didn't throw us out for them being them, so win win!

I was expecting more. The 1/2 Chicken was very good! Smashed red potatoes and gravy were also very good. Coleslaw needs to be more acidic and maybe with some red or green jalapeños to spice it up.Update; I will be coming back. I forgot to mention the Bloody was excellent.I will definately be coming back. Hopefully it will be a little less crowded as service was on the slow side. I get it. I just can't get over the slaw.Maybe some pickled relish and some Nashville hot sauce or spice options may up hotter side.

Got the "whole damn bird" was def over done, 70% of it was salvageable though don't know if I would risk it again. Don't think I would make them re make though so tough situation to be in....The spicy sauce was not good. The pork belly app was very good . The mashed potatoes was good. Coleslaw was good And slush bucket was good. Shamrocks shake was good

Food is on a steady decline. Last night was really not good. Both my wife and I felt ill in the night and woke up tasting salt. We are not sure about going back which, is a shame as we would go nearly weekly. The mashed potatoes were so dense it was like eating a solid potato. The "prime rib" for the open face beef sandwich was fatty. Could not finish it. A re-evaluation of methods and quality control seems to be in order.

I got the prime rib dip. It was good but overpriced for only coming with a side of overcooked chips.

A good first outing at this St Louis Park restaurant. They had a veggie burger, locally made, which was quite good. Spring for the onion rings. Our server could have been more attentive. We'd definitely come back here again to try dinner or brunch.

We had a great lunch. Milki, my puppy, loved going. The staff was great and we will be going back. Hopefully, Milki won't spill his water again.

I had dinner here with my wife and her parents. The food was excellent and so were their signature cocktails (which I'm usually not impressed with at most restaurants). My wife and father-in-law do NOT recommend the house sauce on the half bird. They got some on the side to try it and said it was very sweet, and they did not care for it. Also, don't get the corn bread, you'll be disappointed. The service was good, but it was SO obvious that they've trained their staff like Soviet propagandists to ask you the exact same question, verbatim, every single time they come to your table. It gets tediously annoying, especially when you hear every server around you at the adjacent tables asking it too. They sound like robots. The management needs to stop micro-managing how their servers talk in order to sell more. It's tacky. The atmosphere was nice. Nothing really to complain about, but nothing really to write home about, which is fine with me if you're eating good food with good company. (They have TVs with muted sports games on in both the indoor and outdoor dining areas if that matters to you.)Enjoy!P.S. I think we spent about $200-220 before tip for 4 people (which included at least 4 alcoholic drinks).P.P.S. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the patio, and they have a doggy menu. (I've brought my dog there before during brunch.)Parking: If you go when it's busy, I highly recommend parking in the free lot across the street rather than trying to park in their super cramped lot where you can't turn around if it's full. I think there may also be limited free street parking, but I don't recall.

This place is hit or miss. I think it depends on who's working that day. My first time trying this place, I ordered their well-known broasted chicken, not impressed at all. The chicken lacked flavor and was not fried thoroughly. The manager offered to redo and/or comp the meal, which was nice, but I declined. I've been back several times since then because I like the atmosphere and the service was great. It's a great place to watch the games. They have a great selection of beer. They have daily specials, which are always a plus. They also have an elote dip that is absolutely amazing. The burgers, rice bowls, and brunch are great options.

Such a friendly spot! They have delicious vegan options, too. Great for a mixed group of veg and carnivores alike. And they have a sweet heated patio that allows dogs:)
