First time to Silver Dollar City! Many other reviewers captured the experience at Rivertown Smokehouse perfectly. Reasonably decent food for a theme park restaurant. Yes, my food wasn't quite hot, yes it was expensive, but it was decent bbq and I'm glad I tried it. Now that my curiosity has been satisfied, I probably would try another eatery next time we visit Silver Dollar City.

This isn't just a "Slim Jim store"; it's a neat little snack stand that sells a variety of jerkys, some rather exotic (think ostrich, yak, alligator...).

Atmosphere - MEH. After all, it is a amusement park restaurant. The one redeeming quality is that the outdoor seating area is partially shaded. Service - Good. This is a counter service restaurant, so there is not much service involved. However, I will note that the tables were kept clean as was the utensil, condiment area. Food - Very Good. I had the barbecue half chicken dinner. It came with two sides and I opted for 2 servings of the Mac n Cheese. The chicken portion was ample. It was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The barbecue sauce was very good as well. The Mac n Cheese was creamy and flavorful. Overall Value - Very Good. As an amusement park restaurant goes, this is a pretty darn good one. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for dinner when enjoying the park.

We stopped for a late lunch with friends after we had wandered around the park all morning. The food smelled delicious and we waited in line to place our order. There were choices of salads, entrees and sandwiches as well as a kids menu. I locked in on a triple pork sandwich which was pulled pork, bacon and smoked sausage. The sandwich came with one side, of either Mac and cheese, tater tots, which were regular and sweet potato, or baked beans. I chose the Mac and cheese. Once you got your food, you had to stand in a long line to pay for everything. We waited at least 10 minutes, so by then everything wasn't hot anymore. Truly disappointing! There is plenty of seating outside, and that's where there is silverware, napkins, sauces, etc. My sandwich was very good, although I had to add lots more sauce. Like I mentioned, everything sat too long, but the Mac and cheese was good, but would have been excellent had it been hot. Would eat here again if the wait wasn't so long to pay for your food.

This little stand sits in the middle of the great Silver Dollar City. The jerky is pretty dang good but also pretty expensive. They have several different types of jerky such as Ostrich or Kangaroo or just normal types; and many, many different flavors. This small little joint is fantastic for a quick snack and is just another great part of Silver Dollar City. If you are a jerky enthusiasts and need a small snack, this might just be the place for you.

Yak was our favorite over the deer, beef, and teriyaki we got! All yummy, though
