On an impulse,I picked up a Firehouse Hero at the Grindstone Columbia Missouri location.I can confidently say that if this sub is representative of all their others ,then Jimmy John's,Pickleman's,Jersey Mike's,Sub Shop,Subway,and Penn Station will be getting my hard-earned American Greenbacks.WHY: The bread-soft,sweet and crumbly. Hardly able to support the insides.Meats-also sweet and low to no salt to balance the taste. Saltless also means no flavorthat only Sodium can do, to pull out that meaty goodness.Add-Ons-no complaint,except maybe spread 'em thick enough to see?Condiments:this time,I ordered no mayo or mustard. Used my faves from home.Verdict:If I were a woman,then this soft,sweet fluffy pillow of a sandwich would hit thespot. However,after a long day of driving and fixing things,"It just don't cut it!"

Just had Firehouse subs and it was great!Vey clean inside, and the staff is friendly and professional.I ordered the Firehouse Hero sub and it reminded me of what I used to get at my dearly missed W.G.Grinders we had in Columbia years ago.I will definitely be coming back.

I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was offered assistance in ordering. The presentation and proportions of the ingredients were appropriate. I normally pass on tomato but it was paired well with the slight heat of the j*** sauce on my small Jamaican J*** Turkey sub. The restaurant was clean and employees that weren’t making food or helping a customer were busy cleaning. It puts your mind at ease knowing that your food is being prepared in a clean kitchen.
