After eating at Sycamore I was reminded of the Malvina Reynolds song "The New Restaurant". The decor was a symphony, the waitresses charming...but the food was terrible." My Reuben sandwich was inedible. I took out the leather-like meat and ate a sauerkraut sandwich. My partner's Nashville chicken sandwich was edible, but just barely. A complementary cup of the soup du jour, sweet potato curry, was also very disappointing--way too much curry. The atmosphere at Sycamore is appealing, but "the food was terrible."

Amazing food, we tried the Italian Beef, Chris’ Nashville Hot Chicken, and a Crème Brûlée. All of the items were beautiful as well as extremely tasty. Tons of detail packed into each thing, we look forward to coming back and bringing some friends!

Waitress was unfriendly. Veggie wrap was just ok. Chocolate cake was great. Atmosphere was a bit loud which made it difficult to have conversation.

Always had great service. The gnocchi with butternut squash is seasonal, but so worth it when it is on the menu.

We had a table to ourselves overlooking the restaurant. We enjoyed being near the kitchen and it was a cool vantage point for overlooking the restaurant. Food and cocktails were excellent!

Great food. The service was wonderful. Definitely will be going back. Limited menu but it is seasonal so the next time I go it should be different.

My daughter and I ate dinner here after a visit to Mizzou. We were greeted promptly and seated right away. There are paintings from local artists hanging on the walls, with little cards showing the artist's names. It was a quiet, relaxed place. We started out with the Parmesan fries. They are exactly what you would expect--house cut French fries sprinkled with Parmesan. The ketchup was house made and good--not as salty as regular ketchup. For entrees, my daughter got the Pork T, minus the onions. She enjoyed it and especially liked the focaccia bread bun. I got Chris' Hot Chicken sandwich. I wasn't sure about the lemon aioli because I don't love mayo, but it was really good and went well with the sandwich. I was glad I didn't ask them to skip it. All in all, we thought it was a solid choice for dinner.

Food was highest quality, diverse, and presented well, yet simple. Service was amazing, ask for Morgan if you can. The only slight I saw was the kitchen calls out servers name from the back when needed. My opinion is that is not quaint, just detracting.

I went to Sycamore for dinner while visiting Columbia, MO. The atmosphere was great right off the bat - very busy (because of the great food) but the service was just wonderful. For dinner, I split the gnocchi, calamari, and beef bourguignon with some others - we devoured everything. Portions were great and the food itself was absolutely incredible. Sycamore was definitely my favorite restaurant in Columbia. 11/10 review and will be returning/recommending to everyone I know!

My husband and I agree, we wish we could move Sycamore to our location in Colorado- delicious food! We ordered the Orange Duck, beef bourguignon ( melt in your mouth!) and the Stugo fettuccine , all new dishes on the menu. House made French onion dip and potato chips, Buffalo duck wings (DELICIOUS) dessert: lemon poppyseed pound cake with limoncello ice cream, flourless chocolate cake with candied pecans, caramel drizzle with bourbon ice cream (generous helpings) Obviously, loved the food, but the drinks and service were equally great. This new chef is excellent!

I've never had a bad meal there. Ever. Intimate, professional atmosphere. Whether I'm at the bar or seated, I'm always happy I've gone there. I honestly don't know if they still do beer dinners but those were legendary. I hope to hear if those are still a "thing."
