First-time patrons this morning, and we were very satisfied with everything. Our Friendly server, Delores was quick to answer questions and take care of us. Started with their yummy coffee (Farmer Brothers) shared a slice of coconut cream pie (got into it before i thought to take a pic) it was tasty! Also had their biscuits and gravy (peppery, nice flavor on the gravy) country fried steak (good breading crispy and seasoned well) with eggs, breakfast potatoes, and bacon on the side. All of it was delicious and served hot. I look forward to revisiting and trying the other pies and menu items.
The servers are always great but it's hard to get past the politics of the place. But it takes all types to keep things interesting.Despite that, it's basic diner food and experience in a strip mall. 291 is full of chain restaurants so it's good to frequent a place that is locally owned.
First visit of many to come. 3 yr old granddaughter loved her pancake and 2 orders of bacon! Top notch food and staff!
Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu
Parking: Plenty of parking available.
Ate here a few weeks ago. Server was SUPER friendly. Food was fantastic, especially the huge pancakes. I personally didn't care for the biscuits and gravy, but everyone else in my party loved them.Glad Rae's found a home in Independence when Blue Springs wouldn't support them.
