We waited over 30 minutes to get serviced. Our waitress sat talking with a table the entire time and didn't even get our drinks to us. She brought us water which we hadn't even requested.

We love the food and atmosphere at Madison’s. Their combination salad and dressing are incredible. My only problem is I keep wanting to get the same thing and not try new things because I love my favorites there so much.
Pretty upset with this place! The food was decent, however after having left the restaurant I realized the bartender had over charged me for my food. Should've $16 for the Chilled Salmon Salad, however I got charged $22.00. partially my fault for not paying attention but I was in rush to get to my hotel after waiting 30 minutes on a salad to be prepared. It's the bartenders literal job to do so.

Although our lunch meal was delicious, I requested garlic bread to go with my pasta dish. The "garlic" bread was brought out AFTER our dishes were cleared. Kindly (and thankfully) they did not charge us for this "garlic" bread. we asked they put it in a to go box--and they did. we didn't see the "bread" until we got home. OMG! I was appalled and mad both at the same time! our "garlic" bread was a mere hotdog bun! it was buttered with a few parsley flakes and lightly toasted. How embarrassing for such a nice restaurant to serve such as this.

This place has the best food.. Awesome atmosphere friendly servers I will be back. Thank you.
Just held a small (50-60 ppl) event here, and I want to say that everything was perfect. Rob and Laurie gave stellar service, including a last-minute reset of the room for us - all done with a smile and great customer service attitude. We ordered the veggie tray, a smoked salmon tray and antipasto tray. Not only was the quality excellent, the portions were quite generous - no one left hungry. We had open beer and wine service, and everyone was happy with the wide selection. The only negative, and it's a quibble, is that the facility itself is definitely showing its age, and is ready for an update. I understand Madison's is under new ownership, so perhaps that's in the works. Meantime, when we have another event, Madison's will be at the top of our list. Thank you!

First thing the front door is not wheelchair accessible, (my wheelchair couldn’t fit through the door) and is not up to ADA code,(the second door to actually get into the restaurant, not the one on the street). Other restaurants I have been to in Historic buildings have posted a sign that reads “ADA entrance around back please call” which has been very helpful. Second, and more of an issue: I ordered off of the gluten free menu, so I am thinking that I am eating a gluten free meal until several hours later (I have a stomach emptying disorder so it takes a while for me to recognize) I start feeling really sick and then I throw up the meal I ordered. I have Celiac disease. Gluten-free is not a preference for me, it is a requirement. My preference is to not throw up my meal and do additional lasting damage to my intestinal tract. The server was very nice and accommodating.

It's a stable in Jefferson City. Why it gets 3 stars. The food honestly isn't that great. The service is never much better. There are much better spots in Jeff or the surrounding areas to frequent.
