I have tried eating here 3 times within 5 years. Service was terrible and food, far less than expected for price. They forgot my 5 year olds food the last time, the lady in charge laughed it off and claim they were swamped so it would be an hour before his chicken would arrive. We left with the food on the table, not to mention the order was incorrect. Now I hear they are changing name and location. No suprises there. Just shut your doors already. Disrespectfuly treating customers speak poorly of the community they claim to support.

I have written reviews for Eagle twice now, I'm not sure where they go. But this is more of a fair well as they close for good in a few weeks. The Eagle is no more but it's relaunching downtown near 5th and Main. I hope the recreate the new name and location while keeping sone of what made it popular. People will go out of their way for good food. But this old location with lots of parking, where you could order at the window then wait or eat in your car was an advantage. Eating outside is too. We often went to Eagle Drivein because we like to eat outside and often used the picnic table in the back on the grass. Please continue to have generous portions and meats that are not just beef and chicken. We love the bison burgers and elk too. Please continue to have friendly but sassy wait staff. They are quick, friendly but also mean business. Dripping sauces, yours are the best in town. Stay family friendly, it seems your going more for the bar scene and I understand that it might be more profitable in the new location. But Joplin has plenty of noisy, smelly bars with sketchy people hanging about. Keep things a step above the fray if you can. Parking can be Alain downtown, I hope you new location doesn't drive us away for lack of accessibility. Good luck, we wish you well and hope the new name and location raises the bar (pun intended).

Insanely good! Had the "goulash" fries with chili, mac and cheese and garlic aioli... life changing. Patty melt was one of the best Ive ever had although I want to try the elk burger next.

Omg! So glad we stopped! We pulled up and it looked like a little hole in the wall. Ok, it kind of is, but due to the amazing reviews here we went in. Had the best Salmon BLT on sourdough with fries that hit the spot. Our server was delightful too!! We will be back!!

Passing through town and hit up Yelp for lunch, landed on the eagle drive in and it was a huge win. Small place, seat yourself. The only worker I saw came over and took my drink order and left a menu right when I got seated brought my drink and took my order shortly thereafter. I ordered the "tips and fries" but had her double the asparagus and hold the fries. The steak and asparagus were both perfectly cooked and flavored. It was excellent. If you're around for lunch check them out, I'm sure everything will be as good as the tips and asparagus I had. 5/5

Kinda pricey but not your more common food.

My wife and I stumbled upon this little dive while perusing Yelp! this last weekend to discover new eateries in the area. The service was on point from friendliness to promptness. The food was tasty but the prices were ludicrous. The goulash fries were delectable but not worth the hefty price of $12, as the portion size used to be DOUBLE what we received. The appetizer rang up as $6 so we thought it was likely due to the portion being noticeably smaller. However, the server snatched our ticket off the table a few moments later and informed us that it was a "misprint", bringing us a reprinted receipt. Had I known we wouldn't be getting the PLATTER of goulash fries rather than the small plate for $12, I wouldn't have ordered the appetizer. We also ordered an Eagle Burger. It was grilled to perfection and tasty down to the last morsel. It comes with a quail egg on it, which I don't understand why because it's so small that you'd be lucky to taste any of it under the beef, eagle sauce, and everything else that comes on the burger. In short, it's a $7 burger that they charge an additional $1.95 for by topping it with a quail egg.The asparagus was an absolute travesty. Who in the H-E double hockey sticks thought it would be a good idea to DEEP FRY asparagus? *facepalm* This is something that should be roasted, grilled or sautéed but NEVER deep fried. You've taken a delicious, earthy flavored vegetable and turned it into a soggy and greasy sponge.Management, listen/read carefully: you work in a bar and therefore, you are serving bar food. This isn't a Michelin Star establishment yet for some cockamamie reason, the menu is priced as though your establishment was featured on MasterChef. Perhaps after people are boozed up they don't tend to pay much attention to the prices so they don't realize they're being robbed without the use of a gun. Maybe you're trying to recoup some of the money that was lost due to Covid or something. Whatever the case, this is your reality check. When it was all said and done the damage for (2) Cokes, (1) goulash fries and (1) burger totaled up to $30.I was hoping the wife and I had found a new venue where we could dine occasionally but for the price of $30, we can do much better somewhere else.

The party melt was so delicious! The fries were also amazing and I love all the dipping sauces they offer.

Eagle Drive-In is a really fantastic dinner spot - especially when you're hungry on a Sunday night and few options are open in town. The burgers are absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. You can order for pick-up due to COVID-19 restrictions and I'm happy to report you can also dine-in as the staff wear masks and take precautions to clean all surfaces between patrons. I was extra happy to see paper straws instead of plastic ones! Travis is a great manager, really friendly and super helpful to help you pick something from the menu full of tempting dishes. I can't wait to go back (again and again)!

This used to be my favorite place to eat, but they changed the menu some time ago and it has slowly gone downhill. The prices are shockingly high for the now subpar food. I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger that had literally (and I mean literally) two small mushroom pieces (not halves, but pieces) on it. The sweet tea tasted sour like it had been sitting out all day. I’m so disappointed in what this restaurant has become. Advice to management: Lower your prices to compensate for the lower quality food you offer.
