I really like their beer. All of them. Service was great. Had all apps except hummus. Shrimp app is the bomb. Can't wait to go

The food wasn't good. The cheese with the pretzel tastes like the dried cheese mix. The mix drinks were small with all ice. The service and atmosphere were great. But we wanted to have dinner and not was overpriced and not that good. My husband said the beer is so light it's making him sober.

Stamped the beer passport and tried many of their other beers. All the beers were great, did not eat food. Great service and atmosphere.

Limited menu done well, especially the shawarma (chicken)! We sat at the bar (because no kids), friendly bartenders, 3 selection flight of tasty beer. Bingo Mondays, trivia Tuesdays, large space for groups.

They cancelled my Valentine's Day reservations (which were made weeks in advance) two days before Valentine's Day. I guess they're willing to sell out actual local customers for the crowds that will be in town for the championship parade.

I took my wife and my daughter Kate to City Barrel tonight. It was so much fun. The food was great. Kate thought the wings were the best she has ever had. The drinks were super. What made our night was the staff. Our

A really great brewery and kitchen with a spacious dining area. I went during happy hour and had the beer pretzels and BBQ beef grilled cheese and fries and was really, really happy with all of the food. The BBQ Beef Grilled cheese had a ton of meat on it and the bread was still crispy, it might be the best kind of plussed up grilled cheese I've ever had. I also tried three of the beers and they were uniformly really tasty; hazy IPAs and pale ales that were fruity and had just enough bitterness to stand up to the other flavors without being overbearing.I would also point out that the dining space is really large and inviting and the service was just great. I saw that they had a bunch of events coming up and I would definitely consider going to trivia or bingo or something. If I have one, very minor gripe, it was that all three beers, while tasting great, were a bit more similar than I would prefer. Truly a minor issue though and I will definitely be going back again in the future.

We were in town visiting from Ottawa, Canada, and this was our 5th and final microbrewery visit in KC over 3 days, and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere was great, the food fantastic and our server was perfect for our needs (Sorry I forget his name). Would definitely visit again if back in KC for another football game!Edit: I've added a picture of the sticker we got at the brewery on our beer fridge :)

When it comes to KC breweries, the combination of beer and food at City Barrel sets it apart from the rest. The seasonal menus always have delicious options. I've gotten a few different orders of wings that have been delicious. The Fancy AF fries are a mainstay and they are soo good. It seems like it's always steadily busy and the space is very nice. I'd bring my mom there.Rad AF is an award winning beer and the popularity has been on the rise over the last few years. That New England IPA style is one CB does very well.I make an annual stop for their anniversary celebration.

We loved this place! Great food, staff, and loved the atmosphere! Everyone was really nice and professional. The hand crafted drinks and beers are very good as well. I always have to try the French Dip sandwich first, at any restaurant I visit, and this one did not disappoint! You also must try the tacos, wings, and Fancy af fries, my favorite! We will definitely recommend them to all friends and we will be back.

The staff are very friendly and prompt to greet you. The food was a bit pricey for me though, and I had to order tacos and wings to feel full, but I imagine the experience would have been better if I was drinking too.Dietary restrictions: All wing sauces are gluten free and some meal options can be made gluten free if requested. There are also a couple of ciders for drink options.

Had the Octoberfest beer and it was absolutely amazing. Ordered the bulgogi tacos and fries and they were both scrumptious. Would 100% recommend food and drinks.

Awesome staff, phenomenal brews (especially if you like NE IPAs), creative cocktails, and delicious food. All within a fun and upbeat, yet classy atmosphere.
