Boated over with grandkids. Food was excellent all the staff were very sweet. FYI you MUST wear swim suit cover ups and shirts for males. Will go back again!

For years, we loved visiting Camp Windermere and dining at the grill with family and friends, but our most recent dining experience at Lakeside Grill left us feeling extremely frustrated and disappointed. We can no longer recommend Lakeside Grill for a tasty and timely meal until He works some miracles in the kitchen.
The atmosphere at Encounter Cove is fun and uplifting, and the grill’s front-of-house staff, led by Michelle and teens, was friendly and efficient— handling orders and serving smoothies and ice cream with a smile. However, after ordering, we were left hangrily waiting 1 hour and 3 minutes before receiving our meals.
We sat hungry and waiting while multiple staff members and other guests arrived, ordered, received, and finished their meal within the span of our wait. We would have gotten our money back and stopped if we weren’t misled that our order was “up next”, “being worked on right now”, or “coming up in a few minutes”. Sure, 33 more minutes and 7 orders later.
It was unacceptable to be left in the dark about our order status with no proactive updates, apologies for the delay, or thanks for our patience.
The five sandwiches and fries we eventually received were good, but not 63-minute-wait good.
When different guests are separately coming in asking when their meal is ready and orders are reprioritized and reordered this bad, something is wrong in the kitchen. A reasonable wait would have been ideal, any acknowledgment of the a wait would have been appreciated, and a courtesy warning of a wait before ordering would have been respectful of our time and money.
Maybe it was an off day with tickets getting swapped around or there were too many cooks in the kitchen. Maybe they were completely unaware of the slowing speed of service and increasingly long wait times. We only know the experience we had.
Our group genuinely hope Lakeside Grill improves for other guests, but we have decided that our recent visit to Lakeside Grill shall be our last.

Love this place! So glad we found it. Amazing food! Omg the chicken sandwich and burger were fantastic, full of flavor - used the right spices and tasted garlic- my fav!. The cowboy caviar is unreal. We loved it so much. The only thing I would suggest is music - it was nice and serene however, and a beautiful view of the lake to end the day. But I would imagine a busy night, you would only hear the persons conversation next to you so music might help muffle that a bit. Great, friendly service- we will be back again and again.

My friends and I stopped for smoothies and they were fantastic! The staff working here are also super nice. Peggy, the cook, spoke with us while we were waiting for our smoothies and she was super nice. Next time I’m back up here I definitely plan on stopping by again.
