If you have not tried the BOB in downtown St. Louis you are missing out on the best seafood in the area! The fun, eclectic atmosphere and Southern style vibe sets the mood for a great dining experience. With indoor and outdoor seating, the Broadway Oyster Bar has a full bar and extensive menu. Their Creole dishes are phenomenal, some of our favorites include the NOLA bbq shrimp and the oysters Rockefeller. Don't forget to try one of their Bloody Mary's or classic hurricanes, their cocktails are every bit as good as the food!

I see that BOB is temporarily closed due to the pandemic, which I'm sure is very difficult, so I wanted to leave some positivity. I'm so glad I got carryout from here last Wednesday when I was still able to! I got my usual, crawfish étouffée, and it was amazing like always. It really does have a lot of crawfish in it. And a healthy helping of vegetables! They give you enough to have leftovers...if you have the willpower to stop eating the deliciousness! My husband is allergic to shellfish unfortunately, but he is able to enjoy the catfish here. Wish I could speak regarding the oysters, but I'm an étouffée girl and this is among the best places in STL to get it. I will have to make a point of ordering oysters next time.

Really neat place with some good food and service. What got my attention was the $1 oysters for happy hour but that is only for the raw ones, how disappointing but I ordered some char-grilled ones and they were really good. It was several dishes at the table and they all were good. Prices are not bad at the Oyster bar for the food or beer.

Stopped in to the Broadway Oyster Bar on the best day possible - Fat Tuesday! When we walked in the front door, you could smell a log burning on the fire. Tons of New Orleans-themed decorations around the bar/restaurant. With it being lunch time, I wasn't able to indulge in a 32 oz. hurricane for only $10, but it sure was tempting! Looking at the menu, I had a hard time choosing what I wanted. Large oyster and specialty oyster selection (hot and cold). Tons of authentic Cajun cuisine from jambalaya to shrimp and grits to red beans and rice. I opted for the fried oyster po'boy and it did not disappoint. Oysters were delicious and toppings were fresh. The Cajun fries were delicious as well. The only downside to my po'boy was that I came across a large, unexpected crunch as I took my last bite - a large piece of oyster shell made it into my sandwich. Not what I was hoping for as I finished my meal. On the bright side, at least it shows that they are using fresh ingredients! I'd love to come back for live music sometime in the future. Thanks for the great experience!

Good, hearty, and mostly fairly priced cajun style seafood with friendly and efficient service. After asking the waitress for advice, I started with a cup of red beans and rice, with Andouille sausage and house made tasso. Tasty and filling, I would definitely order again. Also had a cup of the house soup, a crawfish étouffée, that was a gloppy, thick in texture but lacking crawfish. Not a winning choice today. Finished with fried oysters, a smedium sized portion for $13, with appropriate juicyness in the oysters and tiny kick of spice in the dipping sauce remoulade. Service, from the host stand to the table, was friendly and quick. Atmosphere is roadside honkeytonk shack meets bayou blues joint. Live music on the patio. A great spot to unwind with friends.

Great place to "Pig Out". Delicious food, friendly service , and an upbeat atmosphere. Creative menu items that you will surely love. Prices range from $10.00 or less for appetizers and $11.00-$30.00 for Entrees. This restaurant offers a private lot for customers. This is a Must-Try restaurant. A.W.

This was our first time at BOB. We arrived at lunchtime. There are 3 separate areas to sit. The first area is when you first enter (bar & 2 tables) with fireplace. We sat at the table in front of the bar/fireplace. It was extremely cold and rainy that day and we welcomed the warmth. The second area is an enclosed patio. This area is just past the bar, on the right, down a few steps. This is also the area where bands play. It was well lit. The third area is on the same level as the bar. It's straight back when you enter the main level. If you should need extra there's an ATM. The restrooms are in that area, as well. The service was quick and waitress was also the bartender. I'm sorry, we didn't get her name. She was attentive and pleasant. The only issue I had was, lighting. I like to see my food. The flavors of our appetizers and entrees were good. No complaints! We will be back to enjoy more BOB.

Something about rum based cocktails , oysters, crawfish and a heated patio with live music reminds me about vacationing in Florida or in New Orleans. Broadway oyster bar is such a breath of fresh air in the frigid Missouri winters. The crawfish ettouffe was to die for! So were the delicious oysters we tried . They usually have gulf coast and Connecticut oysters and they are amazing. If you are not a fan of raw oysters , there are cooked variations! My companions had catfish poboy and tuna salad and really enjoyed them. The drinks were good and strong, but I am a big fan of the horny gator. The service is great and the place has a very cool divey feel.
