Oh. My. God. As soon as you walk into this place you will be hit by the smoky sweet smell of deliciousness. Our party of three ordered a variety of meats: smoked wings, ribs, and brisket. They were all absolutely phenomenal, but the brisket was out of this world. You know those sad, dry strips you get in other places? And you feel like they are a success if the moisture level is anywhere north of shoe leather? Yeah, no. This brisket is big chunks of delectable meat that absolutely melts in your mouth. We got the burnt ends and did a whole other order of just brisket to go. The beef fat fries, potato salad, and beans were also off the chain. Fully lived up to the hype and great service too!

Excellent in every way. Mac and cheese and brisket were over the top. Pecan pie and cinnamon ice cream for dessert, highly recommend

Ate here twice this week. Really like the brisket, doesn't need a sauce. Very flavorful. A hidden gem was the creamed corn side dish. Lots of flavors I so enjoyed the creamed corn! Love the fast service here. My friends I was with say the service is always fast.

If ya want top quality BBQ, chose something different. I should’ve know better. Way too fancy of a BBQ joint to be any good.

I ordered sliced brisket and I received extremely dry burned end. The popover was a hard, crispy crouton. I spent over $40, what a waste!!!!!!!

Was craving some really good barbecue and came to salt and smoke. Ordered two meats and that comes with two sides and a popover. The ribs are great. Fall off the bone and you can get various sauces to company yet. I got the spicy barbecue sauce and had a decent amount of heat. Love that you can get burnt ends which is the best part I think of the brisket. Really great Tayson could smoke on it. I got the chili as my side and didn't think that was anything worthwhile. I would stay away from it. Also got the fries with her great. Can't mess that up. Also the popover is a unique touch, but probably prefer something thicker like cornbread to soak up all the sauce. Solid place and would return back for sure.

This is a great classy place to try St. Louis bbq. It's a little more upscale and modern which I liked. But they still had the cardinals Baseball game on. :) Would def recommend if you're in St. Louis. Great food and great service. The ribs were different than what I'm used to. Apparently that's what sets St. Louis bbq apart. They were longer and likely beef. But the taste was amazing.

I was in St. Louis for business and wanted a simple order of smoked chicken wings for dinner. The order included 8 wings of large size. The smoke aroma and flavor was mild and they lacked any seasoning (no salt). They have their signature sauces at the table but I enjoy mine plain, so good seasoning is a must to bring out the natural flavor. Also to note, the wings skin was not crispy but rather rubbery, so I ended up pulling off most of the skin. Would I choose this restaurant again? Probably not. The other selections on their menu look good but I'm mainly a carnivore who doesn't eat carbs, sugar and the options are few for such a meal preference.

We had planned on going to a different BBQ place while in St. Louis, but because this place was closer, we decided to try it. We had a party of 7 plus a toddler and we got seated right away. It took awhile to get our order placed, but once it was placed the food was out really quick. Everything was just average. The pulled pork was average, the creamed corn was below average, the chili was average (once my husband put some bbq sauce in it, he said it was edible). The server kept calling EVERYONE at our table "baby", that is something I don't enjoy (I don't let my employees call our customers baby, honey, sweetie). So, we were getting annoyed by that and couldn't wait to get out of the restaurant. Would we go back if in the area again, probably not. But I wouldn't tell anyone to not go there, I just wouldn't recommend it.
Definitely on your list if you love barbecue - started w/deviled eggs and then split a four meat platter - each serving was 3/4 ounces - we had ribs - pull pork - pull chicken and burnt ends - all meats were very tender and moist - plus the meal came with two sides. If you are a bourbon lover - they had a selection of least 35 different ones to sample. Service was fantastic

Great service. Great view up top of the Cardinals stadium with the outdoor seating and good food. The sauces were all different but tasty. We got the choose 4 plate of pulled pork, brisket, ribs and wings. All were good!

I'm not a huge bbq person, but from the outside this place smelled heavenly. We got the 4 meat combo plate. The pulled chicken didn't really have a taste and the texture of it seemed dried out. The St. Louis ribs with sweet sauce) were awesome. The burnt ends were good (very smoky, just to note in case you don't like smoky flavors) and the jalapeno/cheddar bologna was interesting (it wasn't good or bad just interesting lol). The chow chow was fantastic. I liked the coleslaw which was a vinegar base (not mayo based). The beef fat fries were a bit too rich for me. They had one of my favorite white blend wines which is hard to even find in stores so that was great. Overall it was a good meal. If I went back, I'd get beans, ribs & coleslaw rather than a combo plate, but we wanted to try a bit of everything.

Stopped in here after doing the Gateway Arch tour. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the arch to the ballpark village. Ordered (2) two-meat plates (brisket, ribs, pulled pork and smoked wings) which came with a total of (4) sides (beef fat fries, potato salad, Mac n cheese, and baked beans). Everything was good - but our faves were the smoked wings and the Mac & cheese. Our waitress was absolutely amazing, even when the restaurant got crazy busy shortly after we were seated. We’ll definitely be back.

BBQ off the Chain folks! Burnt Ends Brisket Sammy with White Cheddar Cracker Mac was the bomb. Deviled eggs for the win! Four Sauces to choose from: My sweet Bestie, Hotangy, I can't Even and Mustarolina. Definite homerun in my park!
