Staff is always very unfriendly. I worked in a coffee shop for years during college, so I understand off-days happen, but I've never had a pleasant interaction here. They earn two stars because they still served me the right drink with little wait.
Starbucks on the WashU Danforth Campus (Bauer Hall-the business school). This means a few things: 1) Changing hours based on the school calendar. When school is not in session, it may be closed or open for a short amount of time. 2) Unpredictable hours. If the school has a special event, it may be closed. 3) lack of seating space during peak hours like lunch time. These baristas aren’t allowed to receive tips and, as a result, the quality is compromised. In addition, as it is a privatized location owned by WASHU, it’s WASHU’s fault (also THEY would of had to instruct the baristas to give you half-full drinks when you ask for “no ice” because that’s outside of Starbucks standard). The working class deserves better, but they can’t get that through their pretentious heads.
