We liked the burgers& fries but felt the quality of food was too expensive for what you are getting. The drinks were $ 10-14 dollars& were good- we got the old fashion& can't dance. The cheese sauce with the ole( bread) & cheese was very strong/ sharp tasting cheese. The macaroni had sharp cheddar cheese- not to our liking. The staff was very nice.Vegetarian options: There are sides,Macaroni, flat breads, ole, cheese.Kid-friendliness: They have a children' s menu but we were not offered one.

It's always good, though a bit expensive and always a bit too salty for me (I enjoy it but still salty)
The service was great, the ambiance was nice. I ordered the barramundi and it was so salty I couldn't eat it, my daughter in law ordered the chicken and it was so salty, that's all you could taste was salt. I should have sent it back but I didn't. We had been to the location in the central west end and the food was great but not this place. Very disappointing for a nice night out.

The block is consistently a good experience and tonight was no exception. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. The bacon jam here is amazing. If you get something and it's an option to add it, do it. It's that good. I opted for the burger tonight with a side salad. Filling without being heavy. My spouse had the pork and dumplings. It was rich and really filling. We will definitely be back.

The food is way too salty for me. Having eaten here before, I know this and requested NO SALT. The cook ignores that. And this isn’t the first time. Enough! The salmon was two stacked tail ends of a salmon fillet. For $32! Not as good as it once was.Dietary restrictions: Forget this place if you have special dietary requests.

The food was amazing. Every bit as good as anywhere else in Old Town Webster. Also, I'm not sure why it says $30-50 a plate. $20-30 is more accurate beyond the market cuts of steak. I highly recommend!

Great happy hour. Busy! But service was good. The jalapeño tequila margarita was interesting. Definitely required the salted rim. All the apps we were good from the fries to the calamari to the cheese curds to the shrimp.

I loved the service (waited on by Alex. She was great!). The food was mostly amazing. And the one thing that my friend didn't care for was taken care of! I also bought meat from their butcher's case and am looking forward to cooking it! All in all would recommend and return!

I don't know what possessed me to order the pork chop. I don't really like pork chops. But this one was so good! I couldn't believe it! Others in my party got the butcher cut which was phenomenal. I was blown away with how good the food was. Absolutely will be coming here again!

I was looking for a grass-fed ribeye, this place delivered! The steak was great, atmosphere and service were also amazing. It comes with fries but I went with the green beans and she went with the whipped potatoes.Finished off the meal with an amazing southern bread pudding with vanilla ice cream.

We had been wanting to try this place for awhile and had high expectations. I went with a group of four and one by one we all had to send our plates back because our proteins (steak, pork and salmon) were cooked incorrectly. Now at this point you think a manager would stop by the table - I've seen this done for one order cooked wrong at restaurants that aren't as expensive or nice as The Block. Once all of our food was brought back out the pork smelled rancid - probably not safe to eat. Again, no manager stopped by when we sent the pork back asking for it to be removed from the bill. After we all paid our bills, she showed up claiming she just got in when we saw her walking around well before we paid for our underwhelming meals. She offered some cocktails or desserts and at that point that was the last thing we wanted. The most disappointing part is not that our food was cooked poorly but that the manager seemed to not care and made almost no effort to rectify our bad experience.

Unfortunately, our experience was underwhelming and a bit bothersome. Coming from a restaurant and extensive cooking background, our party was especially looking forward to The Block. We understand the difficulty in the restaurant business and don't often leave negative reviews... however, this was altogether different. Every single entree in our party had to be sent back to the kitchen because it was prepared incorrectly. When the pork chop came back, the meat smelled rotten. During the back and forth, no manager came to our table to discuss whatever was happening in the kitchen. Finally - after we paid - the manager came to the table, quickly apologized and offered us cocktails and dessert. Hardly adequate recompense for our high expectations.
