Do not use the mobile app with Popeyes in Columbia. Son went to Popeyes last night front doors locked an hour before closing time. Pulled up in drive thru for 45 minutes to be told they’re out of his chicken and to get his refund through the app. App wouldn’t refund his money because it shows picked up at the store.
I just went to the store talked to manager who remembers my son and the whole situation said the app is third party and ain’t nothing can be done at store level. So the store closed doors early, shows someone got the food and blames an app for still charging him for food he never got after sitting in parking lot for 45 minutes.

On Feb 9, 2026, my son placed on prefer on the app (8:45ish pm). When he arrived (9 ish pm) the lobby doors were locked. He went through the drive thru but was told they no chicken and to cancel the order through the app. When he tried, he discovered that the order had been cleared out as “received by customer.” The store refused to refund the money because it was placed through the app, but the app won’t refund because it was put in as received by the customer.
I will make that everyone knows that this store steals from customers.

The chicken was delicious but we had a small and large red beans and both containers were only halfway filled . For the price they should have been filled . It's disappointing when you pay for something and it's only filled half way .

I goes to the drive through. I wanted mild chicken. It was only spicy. I know they close the dining area b4 nine. But it's only 9:15 pm. I thought they closed at 10. But when they guy said 11 pm; after I asked. It dont take all night to fry some mild. Especially you look and see everyone standing around. And the spicy chicken , I settled for. It was all dried out. And when do they ; ever sift the flour. It be do crusted , Ive worked in restaurants before. So yes I know when its fresh or been sitting for a long period of time.

We ordered two ghost pepper sandwich meals with bacon, one without cheese. They were out of bacon, and out of unsweetened tea- only had sweet tea. We had to pull forward to wait for the fries. We waited 10 minutes and they finally brought our order. The sandwiches were cold and the buns were soggy, both had no cheese. The fries were the only good thing about the meal. Will not be returning.

Tonight I drive 30 mins to this location to pick up dinner for my family. Spent $90 and only got half my food. Should’ve known better than to not check the bag. Shame on me! And their phone number does not work so can’t call them! Lesson learned and will never be back.
