Best fried chicken and vegetables on the coast! All you can eat deliciousness. Chicken and fish and livers fried to perfection!

The food here is excellent and worth well more than the low prices. The food is also extremely consistent for decades. They rotate some of the side dishes each day. I really like the selection of sides and that they are all flavorful with nice textures. Nothing is ever soggy or undercooked or drowning in oil or salt. It’s all good and is that classic southern food that’s very hard to get these days. The staff is always very nice and seem to enjoy working here. And the customers are nice too. On many occasions I’ve found myself sharing pleasantries with the other customers and employees. I don’t usually talk to strangers at other places. There’s often a warmth in the people here. One thing I do recommend is not going within an hour of closing. The food is still great all the way to closing but they don’t necessarily replenish dishes if they run out. I’m sure avoiding waste is what helps keep the prices low. There’s never a shortage of great food so don’t let closing time discourage you, just keep it in mind if you’re planning ahead. The decor is still what I remember 20 years ago. For me it is nostalgic and pleasant. They definitely clean, but it sometimes gets a little dirty when they’re busy, like crumbs on the ground. It’s a small place and does get crowded sometimes. Even when crowded we always manage to get a table. I often go with several family members and we put tables together and rarely have to wait for even 5 minutes for adjacent tables to open up.I hope you enjoy Cajuns as much as all of us. We go at least twice a month and at times every week. And maybe I’m confused, but I eat lots of the vegetables and feel like this is a reasonably healthy dinner compared to most options. The fried chicken and fish are the main course and delicious too. Whatever your tastes or preferences I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.Vegetarian options: There are usually about 3-5 vegetable sides without meat but they may contain butter. The fried okra is great!

I can't say how much I loved eating here today. Had the buffet. Husband and I are for $35 including drinks. Every single thing I tried I enjoyed. They have ice cream and toppings. The chocolate cake with the chocolate icing and pecans was the best cake I've ever eaten, not even playing. The best cake I've ever eaten. The service was great, the buffet was super clean and replenished frequently with new chicken and fish. The catfish was slow amazing. Everything was good, just go here!!!!!
