we got food from there tonight and it was the best it has ever been… and we know that it has always been delicious … but tonight it was EXTRA good. The potato salad was the best I have ever had.
The food and service were great. Our first time having Mississippi Barbeque and we were not disappointed! We ordered a brisket plate, a pork plate, brisket nachos, and a kids rib plate. Sides were onion rings, potato salad, cole slaw, and baked beans. Oh, and of course sweet tea. Everything came out hot and tasted fresh. Serving sizes were more than ample. Got a side of Comeback Sauce; best we've had yet. Onion rings were hot and crispy. Baked beans were sweet and slightly tangy. Slaw was slightly sweet and fresh. Potato salad was very good as well. The dry-rub ribs were the best we've had. Smokey, tender, and a good balance of spices. No sauce needed. The brisket was chopped/shredded which is different from what we are used to. Meat was tender with a nice smoke ring and not too much fat. Had to add some salt to bring the flavor up a little, but I'd rather it be that way. The pork was chopped in large chunks. We were served a very healthy portion. Salted it a little, same as the brisket. Good flavor and texture, not over cooked as some places do. Service was super friendly and helpful. Thanks for making our visit so enjoyable! We will definitely be back next time we're in Jackson.

Got the BBQ beef brisket plate with beans and slaw. The brisket was so good I ate it with no sauce! The folks there are very friendly and make sure you're a satisfied customer.

Used to love this place. I went there all the time but moved up north. Came back 20 years later and the food is good but not great anymore. Doesn't seem to be the same people so I am guessing that's the issue.
