My friend, Janet and I went to this bakery for lunch! It was delicious! I had a warm pimento sandwich and a salad. Everything was fresh and good to eat. My friend had a BLT which was tasty. Then, we had a slice of strawberry cake and Italian cream cake. The baked goods are to die for; it was that good.

THE GUMBO!!! Oh. My. Goodness The Gumbo!!!! I could not get enough. We’re from out of town, ands Miss Liz recommended Ann’s Cakes and More. It was the Best recommendation we got. Barry was a Wonderful host and made sure that we got the best of everything. I had the fried bologna sandwich (Oh So Good!!) and my friends had the chicken salad croissant and the steak sandwich. Sooooo Good!!! And then the Cake!!!! Oh the Cake!!’ Try the strawberry cake. I’m not a “sweets” person, but I would take that cake home and eat it for days. All day. Every meal. Having lunch here was a highlight of our trip. Thanks Barry!!

My review is only for the lunch restaurant and not the bakery. This bakery serves lunch from Tuesday to Friday and offers a daily special along with several other items offered on their menu. Inside, it's basically one space with the bakery on the left and table seating for eating on the right. It's a counter service restaurant and on my visit during Thanksgiving week I ordered the Wednesday lunch special which is hamburger steak with onions, mashed potatoes and gravy with toast for $10. The meal was ready in about 5 minutes. Taste wise it was a good meal that I rated as a 3. Everything was ok. I would be happy to return and try some of their other offerings.
Love Ann’s Cakes & More. Everyone was very nice. The red velvet cheesecake cake alone is worth a trip. Cupcakes & cakes of every description. Plus, daily lunch specials. Oh, and cookies also.
