Checked in first noticed the water damaged curtains. Then took a shower. The main drain was clogged and it filled the room with water. This went into the main room. The host was quick to react and switched rooms. There was already a call for clogged toliets. The area is loud from the nearby highway. Sound proofing was bare minimum. No continental breakfast. Price was high considering all the issues. Not the worst hotel I been to, but not what I would expect from Hilton.

I want to give a huge thank you to Mrs Wendy at the front desk. My mom was traveling from Texas to help take care of my daughter and started to not feel well.Wendy was wonderful. She helped me set up a reservation, allowing my mom to check in a bit early which allowed her to get some rest. As well as set up the appropriate accommodations. Thank you Mrs. Wendy ? Kudos to you for being so compassionate, your kindness and phenomenal customer service! We appreciate you!!!!

Nice rooms, clean ,and the staff was very nice, heated pool. I loved the Kerig coffee pot in the room. Slept like a baby because the beds were super comfy, like sleeping on a cloud. Stores and restaurants close, and even bar service in lobby.

Sayed here 2/10/24 and the front desk clerk was very nice and personable when checking in and the room was really nice and everything so clean. The breakfast was delicious and the staff at the breakfast were very nice and helpful. All in all I would definitely stay here again!

Being by the Fire Alarm during some solid sleep was not my idea of fun. No explanation, no elevator usage after either. No one ever gave the all clear or described where to go. Not my idea of a wake up call.Front desk personnel must hate their job. They always look like they are having their worst day. No greeting. No smiles. Just get the people to their room and be done.

I am sad to write this review. I usually have GREAT experiences in Hilton hotels. I travel for work so I am a Diamond Member. I was treated like a stranger off the street. Upon check in three ladies were sitting down, as I waited for one to check me in (after 13 hours of driving) I asked which kiosk to wait at. Without speaking one just pointed to to second one. No hello welcome, good evening or even a hey! As I was checked in I was given my room number, no thank you or anything of the sort. I had to ask for my welcome gift (only water) Again she just pointed to a line of water bottles behind the register. I'll stay at the Hampton next door from now on!! If I could give zero stars I would. sad sad sad....

Top tier from top to bottom from GM(Mr.Jordan), Ms. Sherita and others in housekeeping, the bar, the restaurant has the best fried fish and Ms. Nicki at the front desk. We were on the road traveling for business and had some mechanical issues and at the last minute and a busy weekend they made room for us. This hotel is pet friendly, perfect location, clean and beautiful.Rooms: Nice, clean, comfortable and spacious.Walkability: Restaurants are across the street and easy to get to.Food & drinks: Fried Catfish is the best.

Front desk attendant was extremely rude. I accidentally tried to check in at the Hampton Inn next door first, and their front desk attendants were very nice and friendly even though I was at the wrong place. After I was made to feel very unwelcome at this hotel I wished I had reserved the Hampton Inn instead. After a long days drive from North Carolina, the last thing I needed was to deal with a surly attitude for no apparent reason.Rooms: very nice

The room was clean. No drawers, just cabinets. CRATERS (not potholes) in the parking lot and the drive to the lot. BIGGEST COMPLAINT: The breakfast - IT IS NOT A FREE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST! It IS a continental breakfast, although they charge you $15.00 per person. It looks, tastes, and has all elements of a FREE breakfast at most all other moderately priced hotels - 1 pan of eggs, 1 pan of "brkfst meat" (sausage & bacon), 1 pan of small brkfst potato's, yogurt, pre-packaged pastries, juice, milk, water, etc... All indications of a FREE hotel breakfast. IT ISN'T. There's a small sign, written in VERY faded marker, that states it's $15 per person. My family of 4 (me,wife, 2 daughters) fixed a small plate (thinking it was a free continental breakfast) and sat down to eat before getting back on the road. My oldest daughter only got a yogurt, my wife got a biscuit and 2 strips of bacon, I got a few potato's 2 strips of bacon and one sausage patty and my youngest daughter got cereal. 10 min later we were presented with a $65 bill. My guess is they do this on purpose to trick guests into thinking the breakfast is free. Yes there is a sign, but it should be much more visible and told to guests. POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE. Oh, and NOT ONE ice maker on any floor worked.

I stayed here as a halfway stop for a drive from Texas to North Carolina.I was very pleased with the staff at this hotel. Windy checked us in and was super sweet. Everyone on staff, from the housekeeping staff was very friendly. We will probably pick this hotel the next time we make the same drive.I will note that we did get a phone call at 10:00pm in the evening after we went to bed as the front desk was trying to locate a barking dog (not ours, but I'm not surprised that a dog may have been barking in a pet friendly hotel, as it was New Year's Eve). I understand that the desk staff may not be able to leave their post at the desk, but if they had walked up past our room they would've heard that our room was quiet, as we had gone to bed two hours earlier. I would've preferred if they had made an effort to avoid calling us, but thankfully it didn't upset our evening too significantly. It helped that the desk was very friendly when we checked in and very apologetic when they called. As a traveler, I also appreciated that there are cameras posted in the parking lot, and that the parking lot was well lit in front and back. I noted that a fellow guest was comfortable enough with this security that they left a rooftop cargo bag on their vehicle overnight. There is a starbucks and other chain restaurants within a few minutes of this hotel, which makes it a convenient stop.We didn't get the chance to check out downtown Meridian, but if we had time we would've enjoyed visiting their historic downtown. All in all- Meridian and this hotel in particular are a great stopping point for a traveler that is traveling through and needs a place to stop that isn't Vicksburg, Jackson, or Tuscaloosa.Safety: we felt very safe. The parking lot was well lit. There is a dog area in the back of the hotel that had dog bags, and was also lit. There was a restaurant within walking distance of the hotel that we would've felt comfortable walking to.

We love the Hilton Garden Inn brand. Clean and fresh. Great staff. We have stayed many times across the country in these. Overall great. My only concern was that the air conditioner unit kept me up every time it shut off and on.
