Very friendly and prompt service staff. Great brew selection. Burgers are tasty and juicy. I had the Wildfire burger. Love those jalapeños. The Brussel sprouts are too die for. They are a don't miss! One of Bozeman's best burger restaurants.Food: 5/5

Best onion rings and burgers in town, hands down. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely amazing. Even the prices were good (really good, by Bozeman standards).the only downside is dealing with the downtown parking (lack thereof).Great place for a family night on the town. Can't recommend highly enough.Kid-friendliness: Staff were welcoming and accommodating to our 7mo daughter, and even let us attach her portable highchair to the table (it was bolted to the wall, so no tip risk). We didn't see any highchairs there though, so you might have to figure that out for yourself.Parking: It's downtown Bozeman. You can definitely find parking (usually), but you might have a bit of a walk.

Quick seating, quick initial greeting at the counter. Had the bison burger w/a few changes. Wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked but I typically prefer medium, this was medium rare. Super tasty & juicy. Good fries, excellent ranch dressing. Took awhile and no one checked back after I got my food but the person that brought my food got me extra napkins etc

No lettuce or tomato on a $14 burger. Carl's would have been better for half the price. Brussel sprouts saturated in sauce and cooked to a small dark mess that looked like a pile of deer turds. Sautéed onions that smelled bad. House salad that came out of a Sysco bag. Terrible. Not recommended. (The pint of beer was fine.)

Ummm… yummy! Easy seating, food is delish, served quickly, friendly staff. Kids and adults alike loved it. Not just burgers and prices are fair.

Average service (at best). Ordered the Electric hot chicken sandwich because I typically like even the spiciest of sandwiches. WRONG. This was far too spicy even for my palette. 2-3 bites in, I told our waiter that this sandwich was far too spicy for anyone's natural taste preference and he took it away, but still charged me full price. Get a different menu item or avoid completely, but do not expect any sympathy if you order something even mildly spicy!

Super friendly people and good food. Hamburgers were all good and exactly what we were looking for, adults and teens left happy.

I have ordered bison burgers at other restaurants and none have ever been able to keep the patty juicy due to its leanness. Backcountry was able to make a perfect bison burger. It even looked like it came from a photo shoot. Fries were perfect. And a good thing my wife only ordered a half salad because that thing was massive. All of the veggies in that salad were fresh. All in all probably their execution on their food was on par with restaurants that cost three times as much. And that deserved me writing my first ever review.
This restaurant has theee best burger that I have ever had!! Calamity Jane was unbelievably amazing. The fries were perfect - crunchy on the outside, a little soft on the inside, and just enough salt but not too much. We also had the kale salad which was so fresh and perfectly served. I would highly recommend this place!

Friendly service, very good food. We all loved our burgers. It just took so long to get our order to the table. Lunch turned into dinner. But great burger.

HAUNTED BAR ? no really, it is. Read the plaque outside the 120+ year old building this restaurant is in and you’ll understand why…I worked here 8 years ago and had multiple paranormal experiences. Came in one day in 2022 for food and casually asked the waitress about it and they said they’ve had experiences too; they all said yes. One of the experiences I had was a flying glass, DURING DINNER RUSH! Everyone in the back half of the restaurant by the bar saw it. If you’re lucky maybe you will see something here too!Even if ghosts aren’t your thing, or you aren’t a believer yet, they have some fantastic and unique burgers all at very reasonable prices. Chili and soups are really good too. I always end up cleaning the whole bowl. You won’t find another burger place like this in the valley! The place is usually pretty packed, so you might want to call to make reservations or just see if seating is available. ?
