My Favourite Little Red Taco Stand

Look to the right and you’ll see an entrance to a yoga studio. The vegan restaurant is through there. They didn’t open till 9:30 so we waited at the front coffee bar and had coffee. It was an interesting “third place” for a lot of people that mingle there on a regular basis. I got to meet a few people. My first impression was the back area was like a cute secret restaurant and there was a yoga session in progress. My husband ordered the tofu scramble and waffles “a las dos” and the server misunderstood that those were two orders of the same thing, for both of us. My father in laws chilaquiles came out with my tofu and waffles, my husband’s plate never came out. For a while we clarified and they realized they misunderstood, while his mango water took a while to come out too. Many places in Playa Del Carmen you can expect to sit and eat a while because the food is made to order. Unfortunately for him that meant his food was just queued in as we were finishing eating. He was still charged as well. The patio was nice but we did encounter mosquitoes, they have Off on request. I loved the food, just bummed my partner had such a bad experience and didn’t get to enjoy it. #Veganuary *Updating to say we gave it another try and had a great experience. This restaurant/ cafe is incredible. It was the highlight of our trip. All food is made from scratch and tastes fresh and amazing. The portions are great for the price! It’s tucked away in a beautiful jungle like setting with a wonderful coffee shop attached so you can enjoy the best coffee ever, with your meal! You don’t miss out on flavour at this place. Everything is so flavourful!! The server was so kind and the chef came out to chat with us and ask us for feedback. The vibe here is immaculate and I would suggest this to you over any other vegan restaurant in Playa.

Vegans visiting Plays del Carmen rely on Happy Cow ratings. This is a top-rated location and for good reason. The food is exceptional. Local vegans also frequent here (always a good sign!). Co-located with a coffee bar if you're in the mood for caffeine.

We were staying at a resort and looking forward to going to the city to find some good vegan food. It was all amazing! I only wish we had more time to try more! It was delicious and we both loved it all!

I had the salty waffles, which were really good quality and delicious but small portions for the price. I could have eaten 2-3 orders to get full. The waffles were good portion but they should double the size of the tofu scramble. My gf had the one smoothie bowl they offered and it was not good. The base is made from oats and it was like eating pancake batter. They need to switch the oats out with frozen ripe banana’s ASAP. I think they tried to get too creative with it or something. They also put lots of chia seeds on top which as we know we cannot digest raw chia seeds they need to be soaked or blended due to the outer shell just like flax seeds. The other dishes on the menu looked really interesting and creative so we might go back and try those, we just picked a bad dish. The atmosphere is very cute with shade and a steady breeze. Amazing vegan food! So tasty, my husband is a meat eater and he said they were the best tacos he has had whilst in Mexico!

Great place to come for breakfast or lunch, wish they were open for dinner too! Came here twice for brunch and both times were great. Chilaquiles were the best I tried, and chocolate cake, pan Dulce and enfrijoladas were also great. Don't serve coffee but there is a vegan coffee shop sharing the space with them that you can order from to your table, this coffee was the best I had in Mexico.

Really, the best place in playa del carmen. Must visit if you’re in town?perfect for a breakfast or lunch. They are so nice, they helped us with choosing the best option to take with us on a plane. Food was so delicious. I wish we have in Poland such good vegan croissants ❤️? hope to come back!

Absolutely love this place!! Stayed in Playa Del Carmen for 9 days and we came here 5 times. The food is delicious and fresh, made with care and intention. All of the employees are so kind, we had the pleasure of making friends with the server, Ness, they rocked and knew our order after day 2!! It's tucked in the shade with a nice breeze and there a really cute resident cat who just lays around all day. Our favorite items were the green juice, the matcha latte, the salty croissant and the pambazo. Corazón contento was our little vegan safe haven during our trip & we can't wait to go again!
