“An absolutely amazing little eatery right in the heart of delightful, beautiful Puerto Aventuras. Located in the Marina Commerciale restaurant and entertainment district just a few minutes walk from the fantastic beach at the Puerto Aventuras Beach Club this Restaurante 081 (cero ocho uno) offers amazing, brilliant creations and well-executed, fantastically presented favourites that are sure to surprise and satisfy even the most discriminating palate. During our stay here we’ve eaten at 081 multiple times, and will likely head back several more times before we leave. The thin-crust neopolitan-style pizza is absolutely brilliant and the best we’ve had here while on vacation (and we’ve tried them all), the salmon-stuffed ravioli is a revelation, the calamari and camarones appetizer, an old favourite, is here served with panache and flair, elevating it tremendously. The seared salmon? Perfect! And the croquetas de papa y hamon, delicious. I could go on and on… the tuna tartare, the ceviche mixto, the hamburgesa classico, the vegan tacos el pastor… I don’t think you can honestly go wrong. Coupled with a selection of delicious, refreshing beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and juices, and decadent and inventive desserts (the pan de elote (house-made cornbread with caramel, vanilla ice cream and popcorn) veritably sings), you will not be disappointed. We found lunch-service to be a tad slow, but attribute that more to the unexpected nature of a large party attending the restaurant shortly after opening rather than a systemic issue as other times the service time was quite acceptable. The staff are informative, efficient, pleasant and responsive to any requests for substitutions or dietary requirements, and are always ready to provide excellent suggestions. Wonderful - highly recommended and a must-visit.

Vegetarian options: A number of delicious and creative vegan and vegetarian options are clearly and identifiably offered throughout the menu.

Dietary restrictions: The staff are extremely responsive and flexible when it comes to specific dietary restrictions, ingredient substitutions or requirement.

Parking: Street parking throughout the Marina Commerciale perimeter as well as several free parking lots nearby yield plentiful parking just steps away from the restaurant.

Kid-friendliness: A number of kid-friendly and kid-approved items on the menu, as well as a clear view of the show and shenanigans occurring in the Dolphin Discovery Riviera Maya enclosures just beyond the restaurant. The kids loved it!

Wheelchair accessibility: Fully wheel-chair accessible, though sidewalks in the Marina Commerciale area generally are a wee bit choppy. There are ramps everywhere, and the few cracks and bumps by no means limit wheelchair mobility.”

“Followed others' recommendations and was not disappointed. Chicken tacos and El pastor tacos were fabulous. I had a craft ; El Tabanario which was a very malty amber ale and served cold, this went well with the food.”

The price quality of the restaurant is very good, we ordered a white wine at a very good price and very tasty. Alexis, the waiter, super friendly, attentive, fast and very willing. “A cool open air eatery/bar right in the center of the area. Drinks are ok especially at Happy Hour. Prawn Service is recommended; nachos are good too. Live bands most days/evenings. Basically a hangout for Canadian and American expats.Directly on the Dolphin show. Prices ok for the area.”

“Good portions, the burger is served with fries, excellent service, they are fast and they serve you a good-sized burger, I liked everything about the burger from the bread, dressing and especially the melted cheese. Oh, the price is the best.”

“If you’re craving Chinese after one too many tacos, come here. There’s usually a line. They give the biggest portions you will ever see in your life with so much food into the container that it barely closes. $80 pesos for one entree, $125 pesos for two entrees, $155 pesos for three entrees. They all come with rice or noodles. One entree is enough for two people! 8/10 for taste.”

Super creamy and natural ice cream, excellent for cooling off on a hot day, the perfect dessert after eating, the perfect complement to a conversation with your loved ones.

“Went there a few days ago with a bunch of friends. Were pleasantly surprised at how good the place was. They offer an extensive menu for such a small restaurant. I had the grilled octopus and my wife had the Bunuelo De Camaron. The octopus was the best that I have had here yet. Better than La Caleta and 081. The Bunuelo wasn't so good, the shrimp still had the shells on and made the dish a mess to eat. Service was pretty good. Prices were reasonable. I would go back for sure.”

“What an amazing place!! Service was amazing, food was great, atmosphere was just bliss!! We tried the guacamole, carbonara, pesto chicken pizza, and margaritas! Pizza reminded me of a thin new York style pizza perfectly cooked and ingredients paired well together. The sun dried tomatoes are the cherry on top! The guacamole is served fresh with chips, and plated well. The carbonara is fished table side in a large wheel of parm. If you are in the area you must try!!!!”

“The food was very large and easily could be split. Unfortunately it was one of the worst margaritas I have ever had, Which was super disappointing And the toilet did not have a seat lol. It was some of the hottest hot sauce. I have ever eaten.”
