“We dined at Onyx Bar and had an amazing experience. The octopus and shrimp tacos were absolutely delicious, and even the kids' nuggets were surprisingly good. We left feeling super full and satisfied. Our server, Gisele, was incredibly helpful and greeted us with a warm smile throughout our meal.“

“We tried the vegetarian and vegan burrito and loved it. Everything is very fresh and prepared directly on site. A hot, a medium hot and a mild chipotle sauce are provided as toppings.

“Best Al Pastor on the main street of Pueblo Tulum. MXN 15 each. If you eat there, order 2 x 2 tacos at a time. That's how the locals do it and the meat is piled up high. If you order like 5 on a plate, they go e you roughly the same mean of 2 tacos. We ate here and took food to go about 4 times. Our go to for the area.“

“This place is amazing! Was highly recommended and I can see why. We got here a little early and mosquitos were a little annoying but we are sooooo glad we stayed!! Food was 10 out of 10, music was 10 out of 10, and service was 10 out of 10. Will come back when I visit from MN, USA! Thank you for a great dinner (and Alejandro was a great server!)“

“A Must-Visit in Tulum BAL NAK' offers an exceptional dining experience with its stunning jungle setting and top-notch service. The contemporary Mexican cuisine is both creative and delicious, with standout dishes like the duck breast and the chocolata clams . The cocktails are equally impressive, especially the verde jungla. For an unforgettable meal in Tulum, BAL NAK' is a top choice. Highly recommended!“

“A very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Exorbitant prices (but you know). The two ceviches were good, except for the prawns drowned in a sauce that disturbed their flavour.
Out of two drinks, one very good and the other worth reviewing.“

“Stopped here on our self-guided taco tour. The family was so nice, with the grandmother and grandson bringing over games of chess and snakes and ladders to play with us as we waited. The margarita was the only semi-expensive item (and it was very nice and strong to make up for that), but the tacos themselves were cheap and delicious. Homemade tortillas. My favorite taco the pollo barbacoa. The juices menu looked really nice, but alas, it was margarita time.“
“Love this zero waste shop. All products are natural, and you bring your container, helping not pollute the environment. The store is not cheap, but I can understand because of the quality of the products. It has a really nice smell always, and staff is lovely! ♥️??“

“I ate here 4 times during my stay and was very happy with most of the meals and experiences. I ate the poke bowl and made a few tweaks to the ingredients due to my onion allergy. It was filling and delicious. I also had the cacao bowl for breakfast one day and thought it was delightful. I drank hot and cold versions of the golden milk which was tasty. The coffee was also decent! The only meal I didn't like was the egg breakfast because the beans were removed due to my allergy but I wasn't given something to replace it. I had asked for extra salad or tortillas but whatever.Staff: It varied. There was an excellent Argentinian woman who made good eye contact, listened attentively to my order and even spoke with the chef about ingredients. There were 3 male waiters who never wanted to take the order or check back in about what else we wanted. I had to get up to go find my own drinks, go ask to pay, etc... There was a female barista who gave dirty looks any time I wanted to make an order or ask about anything. So sadly but truly, the Mexicans working there were uncommunicative and unattentive.Ambiance: shaded seating with more e comfortable chairs or open table seating in the sunny terraza under some shade of trees. Gorgeous tile floors and wooden tables. Very slow service so expect to stay 1 hour or more.“

“This beautiful place hidden in Tulum, where the flavors make you remember good homemade food at a high level... if you are a lover of Italian food you should come...
The best restaurant in Tulum, and one of the best Italian food places I have ever been to in my entire life.
Order the spinach ravioli!“

“RUN, don’t walk to El Bajon. Their vegan tacos are absolutely delicious and only $25 per taco! My favorites are the Milanesa and the Carnitas & my boyfriend tried almost all of the other kinds and loved them all. Nice salsa bar with toppings so you can load up your tacos how you like them. The staff is friendly and the service is very fast.“

“Good, beautiful and affordable prices in Tulum. They have very good seasoning, very good service. It is located outdoors, it has fans. Although its location is very good, it is right at the intersection of the highway to Cancun and Cobá, so many trailers pass by, the experience does not diminish. Very good place for breakfast and it seems to have a good atmosphere at sunset.“

“Here's a review you can use: A Hidden Gem in Tulum – Casa Maria During our recent trip to Tulum, we stumbled upon Casa Maria, a small but beautiful Mexican bar and grill located right on the beach. This quaint restaurant exceeded all expectations. The food was absolutely perfect—authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and every dish was cooked to perfection. The ambiance added to the experience: relaxing, cozy, and with a beachfront view that made the setting feel magical. The customer service was impeccable—every staff member was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Casa Maria may be small, but it has a big heart, delivering a dining experience that is simply unforgettable. If you're ever in Tulum, make sure to visit this hidden gem!“

“We love La Hoja Verde! The atmosphere is so nice, open air patio with lots of greenery. The service was super nice, we had excellent servers. All this to say, the food was the real winner! We went our first day and last day on our trip to Tulum. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and so yummy! We would come back in a heartbeat.“

“A nice place to enjoy a delicious meal, it has a very delicious variety of pizza, the pasta is good, just with too much oil and the pesto sauce ?
But in everything else very good.
Parking: Well, you have to park along the street, there is space in front or on the sides“

“Our waiter was the best waiter in Tulum! Absolutely remarkable. There’s a couple of candids of him in my pictures. Our waiter was great at explaining things to us, his timing was great, and we often got what we needed without asking. The steak came out sizzling. The guacamole could have more taste to it. The red wine for a glass was tasty with a fruit taste to it. They have great, calm, soothing background music.“

“I was in between 3 and 4 stars for this place; however, their service was amazing. My only drawback was the atmosphere. We were fighting off flies and getting bit by mosquitoes the entire time. Our waiter gave us some bug spray, but that did not ward off those flies. They also had no overhead fans but the restaurant is outdoors. The scenery is nice though. As far as the food, it wasn’t bad. I had the sushi and a rice dish. Sushi had more cream cheese than I would’ve preferred, but it was good.
Vegetarian options: There were plenty vegetarian options!
Parking: We parked a block down on the street. We went on a Friday evening and had no issues finding a park.“

“Very good burrito restaurant! They are very good and well garnished, they are accompanied by different sauces.
In terms of drinks, there are a multitude of juices on the menu which are also excellent.
I recommend testing this address.“

“Good pretty and cheap. The tacos are good in terms of price-quality compared to other taquerias in the area. The flavor is good and they are not as greasy as in other taquerias, plus the people who serve are friendly and diligent.
Parking: You can park on the street for free but it will depend on the time of day.“

“It is a very good place, the food is very delicious, we ordered a pizza and ravioli in bolognese sauce. The ravioli were well cooked, almost al dente, well filled with ground meat and with plenty of parmesan, the pizza bread was perfectly crunchy and with a lot of artisanal flavor. It is very good to go to a dinner as a couple or as a family, the only drawback is finding parking since it is very close to the main street and at night there is a lot of activity, but the service is good and the staff were very friendly ☺️ ☺️☺️“

“Love this cute restaurant on the main avenue in Tulum centro. There are vegetarian and vegan options, traditional both Mexican and Western options. Love the açai bowls here, bigger portion than the other açai bowl cafe in Tulum.Today, I picked the black couscous with eggplant, very tasty, just wish it's bigger portion, alongside a fresh beetroot juice ?The restaurant is decorated with dream catchers and walls painted with animals and jungle style. Healthy food that doesn't make you feel guilty!
Dietary restrictions: You can request the oil you prefer they use to cook. For the smoothie and açai bowls, you can choose coconut sugar, stevia, honey, maple, agave...etc it definitely helps if you're on your diet“

“It's a pretty nice little place, the burgers are delicious, the meat super juicy. Prices good for Tulum. It is outdoors, but there are trees and a roof if necessary. They have live music. I came on Friday and the group @buenachaplin IG was playing, good atmosphere.“

“I came here for dinner for my sister's bachelorette. It has a very nice vibe to it, the decor is really nice, very dim. The food was delicious I got the chicken kebab. The food did take a while though, but it's understandable since we were a larger group.“

“Very nice bar! Great higher end atmosphere, nice drinks and DELICIOUS food. Would’ve given a full 5 star, but the barmaid forgot about us 3 times lmao not that big of a deal, but in comparison to Batey (right next door) where we’ve always were tended to, I unfortunately gotta downgrade to a modest 4 star since there were very few people at the time so, you know, chasing after your order is a tiny bit annoying.“

“A great location! It’s right off the main road as you come into the hotel zone and was one of the only spots open. We stopped by after going to the beach and while we only came for drinks (& shelter from the rain), we came by twice during our stay.“

“Very good place, small but nice, I went to breakfast and ordered an Aztec breakfast, it could be roast meat or egg, I ordered with both, at the start they receive you with an orange juice and coffee, toasted white bread and butter with jam, really good breakfast, the cost is in line with what is served, they have live music and the service is very good, they don't make you wait long to take your food, taking into account that they prepare it almost instantly, really a very good place to have breakfast , lunch or dinner“

“Mexican restaurant but which has lost quality like many in Tulum i.e. they do not take credit cards species only decent but expensive meal no guacamole with the excuse that they no longer have the chips to accompany toilets which could be cleaner I stay average satisfied
Wheelchair accessibility: Possible because on the ground floor“

“Restaurant that looks like the movie "Coco" due to the decor, very nice.
Mayan cuisine dishes, excellent aperitif.
The rest good, but only for once.
It is located just outside Tulum.
Ample parking.“
