Douglas Diner Reviews

The Chef /manager is a tremendous cook. I've been cooking for 42 years now and have learned over the years that if you have a cook's position and you can't make soup, sauce or gravy, don't call yourself a cook. Melissa is the Chef manager and she can do all of the above. Her gravy, that I had, Monday at dinner, was "drinkable." I'll be back over and over again! Quality food and very reasonable prices!

What a little jewel this Diner is! We had the sweetest server, and the food was great...did I mention the scratch gravy.....always a great sign of flavor to come. Thank you Douglas Diner, we'll be back for your Taco Salad and Homemade Pie!

Easy to miss as you drive alongside the St. John River toward Mactaquac, but very much worth stopping in. Food is great, prices are reasonable and service is friendly -- most definitely a place you should try!
