Cantine Chez Mel

I love the food there but some of the items are quite small for the prices they have. I had a small BBQ poutine but the container was about 4 inches 1/2 for 12$. 4 bites and that was it. A lot is overpriced. Big poutines are around 17$ but their huge so it's worth it but the small one is just ridiculous. The Philly cheese steak is no good. It's not a sub sandwich with thin steak and cheese and onions, it's hamburg with cheese and onions in a non roasted hamburger bun. It's soggy and not really tasty. Club sandwiches are good but I've seen better. I got a lot of cartilages and also it's the pre-cooked bacon which I'm not a fan of. The Ice cream side is very good and pricing is perfect.

Chez Mel service has gone downhill. Expect to wait 25-30 minutes for a poutine when it is not busy. The staff are super slow and rude when you inquire how much longer. Prices are high. We won’t be going back anymore. Quicker and cheaper to make it at home and don’t have to deal with rude employees.

Poutine régulière un peu décevante, le formage en grain fondait, indiquant qu'il n'est pas des plus frais. Dommage, mes attentes n'ont pas été comblées.
