I often find myself wandering into Battlecat when I'm on this side of town- the coffee is always delicious whether it's drip or a fancy chai latte, and the vibe is always so positive inside! It's a cozy place to relax and enjoy a book or some company. Plus, the name rocks!Dietary restrictions: all the different coffee milks are available.

Had a delightful coffee beverage here. There are neither battles nor cats let alone cats battling but I did not hold it against the place. He-Man would still be

The best outdoor seating of any cafe in Asheville in the Fall. There’s a beautiful tree out front that turns all red. It’s a great, reliable spot for locals year round too, with friendly and welcoming baristas.Tiger Bay Cafe is the restaurant in the back, which is separate from Battlecat except that they share a space. You have to place orders online for Tiger Bay Cafe. Pro tip: order online before leaving the house, then go by Battlecat- get your coffee, and walk to the back of the place to grab your food. This way you won’t have to wait. They’re busy on weekends.

Very good coffee! I am a bit of a cod snob but I really enjoyed my cup of coffee. I will definitely be back when I am in town. A really funky spot to fuel up and do some thinking.

Very cute place, anarchoqueer vibes. I got a black light roast coffee and it was disappointingly weak. Bonus point for the reusable silverware.

BattleCat shares its location with Tiger Bay Cafe, which is located further inside the smaller house location, with the Coffee Bar at the front. I mention this because the lines are separate and can be confusing. Now there isn't a whole lot of space inside, but their outdoor seating is great and spacious, so wasn't an issue on the day I visited with good weather. The coffee didn't take long and was very tasty once it did arrive.Fun spot and a good way to get breakfast and coffee at the same time with friends.

AMAZING coffee - and I'm glad I trusted another reviewer who said BattleCat has the best bagels around, because that turned out to be absolutely true!

Love Battlecat! As a traveler from a place that spoils me with boutique coffee around every corner, Battlecat doesn't disappoint. Good, strong, smooth, unburnt cold brew.
