We came to this restaurant for dinner. we heard about this spot from quite a few people. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we felt excellent. The meal was yummy. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Recommended.

We enjoy to go out. Yesterday we came to this superb place which friends recommended to us. We passed a delightful experience there with excellent cooking and a nice stuff and a talented chief cook. We put this place in our phone list and we shall no doubt come back soon. We highly recommend.

Go. Whatever reason you have for going to dinner somewhere else, drop it and eat at Calypso. The flavors are fantastic and the atmosphere is perfect for date night.

Our favorite restaurant in Asheville, and we live here! The food is always terrific, the wait staff attentive, and Esther always stops by to say hello. Huge bonus is the serve Banks Beer!

Calypso is one of my favorite restaurants in Asheville! Great services, delicious food and drinks!

There wasn't anything posted on the website about them being closed. Parking is always an issue downtown, so after parking and walking in the cold only to find out they were closed was a let down. Was looking forward to trying them out after returning from our trip to Jamaica, and finding out they have food I'm not allergic to and served goat. They should update the website so people don't travel unnecessarily where traffic is horrible, parking is a nightmare and expensive.

Food was bland and dry (never ever said this of a Caribbean restaurant). Drinks were good and saved it from a lower score.

So happy to try Calypso and this St. Lucian cuisine! Enjoyed dinner with friends last night and I can not wait to go back and try more items. My corvina and rice and veggies were delicious, as was my friends callaloo. Loved the healthy veggie options and the dasheen chips and dip. I am not familiar with this type of cuisine and I am looking forward to another visit. Very warm and cozy atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Oh, and definitely order the coconut cake and the rum cake.

So I was pleasantly surprised when a girlfriend and I found this place the other night. I don’t like martinis but I might have had 4 of there espresso Tini. Loved the sign in the bathroom. Staff was friendly and service was great!

Shame that I can't leave a rating below 1 star. The food was nasty at best. I have had better tacos in Juarez. If it weren't for the alcohol I wouldn't have been able to hold it down. When the problem was presented to the owner she felt the need to put down her staff so she would feel better. My recommendation would be to run like your on fire if you even consider spending your money there. The bums in Prichard park make better hotdogs and make you feel more comfortable.

Absolutely loved the goat roti and dumplin's. Macaroni pie was great also.
