Empty and bland atmosphere, average food. Not to mention they are awful with covid and employee welfare, would leave less than one star if I could. :(

It's okay I guess. The food is very good, the service is fine. The space is cramped and the food portions are very small for what you're paying. For what they offer $7.99-10 would be a reasonable price, but they charge $11-15 for their plates and it's just not worth it. There's superior breakfast spots, Cornerstone, Happy Hill, Moose cafe that are local, been around for years, serve great food and great portions and are around that $10 range. I'd highly recommend those spots and a hard pass on Early Girl eatery until the prices reflect what they offer.

Menu had some interesting choices. Chicken and waffles with french toast biscuits was very good. Service was a little scattered and not a lot of food for price but I would recommend.

Came here on the recommendation of some family members who love it. We just thought it was okay. Staff was friendly and service was good but the food was nothing to write home about and it seemed pricey for breakfast. We'll definitely give them another chance, in case we just chose the wrong menu items, but our first go was pretty disappointing.

Merrimon location is lacking... I paid extra for more fruit on my French toast and got like 3 apple slices? Also asked for no tomatoes and got extra... oh and no straw for my drink. I like downtown better, they're the OG

Our innkeeper suggested this restaurant after we had our heart set on Vinnie's and it was closed on Tuesday nights. At first, I was skeptical... Early Girl was in a strip mall and at the time we arrived, we were the only guests. OMG... this place is a home run!!! We had buttermilk fried chicken with herb gravy and mashed potatoes and bbq pork with pimento mac and cheese. We also had molasses glazed cornbread...fantastic! We had a fantastic apple butter cocktail. After eating here, I am happy to recommend this eatery. You will not be disappointed! Made from scratch, mouth watering delicious! The ambiance is unassuming, the Food outstanding!

The food was so delicious here! My husband I came for lunch on a Sunday and did have a little bit of a wait before we were seated. We were able to eat outdoors with our dog which was great. There was also a parking lot making it easy to drive to. They were very busy but the wait staff was friendly. We had to wait awhile for our food but it was so delicious, I had the French toast biscuit with fried chicken and it was amazing. I would highly recommend eating here but warn that it's not a "quick bite" as it is very popular.

Tried this place on a whim and man it did NOT disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great! Everyone was spaced out well. I'd definitely recommend eating here!

Tried to eat here this morning (11/8). We put our name n around 10, sat down around 1015, ordered drinks around 1020 and food around 1025. It is currently 1125 and still have not been served. For all the "acclaim" this place gets, the service is horrendous. They put us on the side of the building, which is fine, but it feels like they forgot about us. The server came over at about 30 mins saying it would be just a few more mores and then came over at around 45 minutes to apologize again, and offer a bundt cake. We asked to make our food to go instead and for the check, and of course the server came right back with both. Maybe I'll update this after we actually get our food, but very frustrating to be waiting an hour for our food.

The food here is like the food one's grandma would make. It's just good and it makes you feel good. The place is cozy and the service is great. You can eat indoors or outdoors.
We got in and out pretty quickly. Food was tasty ?

For those who enjoy over medium eggs and toast (use the toast to sop up the yoke) not getting your toast until 10 minutes after eggs is a one star experience.

The food was good. Think it was a little overpriced though. Two people eating breakfast for $40 is a bit steep. They have plenty of vegetarian options if you’re into that though. I’d eat here again, but would look around other places first though

So I've never done this before I'm so new to this on reviews but I had to write something on this place only cause of the displays that were shown through the glass of that kitchen please people pay close attention, I was highly mortified after I witnessed two of there employees acting very inappropriate with each other while the waiters had no clue what was going on, I'm guessing they were the cooks the female cook with the glasses was touching the other cook or waiter I don't know for sure who or what he was doing this evening but it was disrespectful. I love Early Girl Eatery but to have a person cooking your food while displaying inappropriate sexual acts is nerve racking at this time, I hope they make some changes getting rid of those two please management keep a close eye on these two cooks they're making the Early Girl name tainted. I hope you guys the best through these tough times due to Covid-19 and hire decent people to represent the name and value you guys offer Asheville.

We visited on a recent trip to Asheville and loved Early Girl so much we ate there twice during our 4 day stay! The food was wonderful, the service was excellent, and we appreciated the safety measures they are taking in the face of the pandemic. We truly felt safe eating there. Will definitely be back next time we are in Asheville!
