Couldn't get enough of the ensalada for lunch, the last time we visited AVL. I think we had it three times in one week! The Baja ranch Dressing plus a protein--so good!
I think they have the best tacos in Asheville! So flavorful And reasonably price. Will be back again!
Great lunch 👍 Great flavors . Fried Chicken taco and Pacific Cod fish taco and Mexican veggies pickles
The location was really close to the hotel so me and 4 friends stopped in for dinner. I had the cod fish taco and steak torta and both were delicious. We also ordered a side of plantains, pineapple salsa, habanero salsa and cant remember the other kind but it had a smoky taste...again ALL delicious. Between everyone we tried just about every kind of taco and every was full and pleased plus its super reasonable priced food. The serve alcohol here too.
I can't say enough about this place and the staff. the Santa Barbara taco is always my go to with chorizo queso. never disappoints
So a friend had recommended this place multiple times and I just didn't believe they could be THAT good. I was wrong, so so wrong. This place is incredible!!! I got the Santa Barbara taco & the Loreto! The tacos also come with chips and salsa which is super nice! I got all this for like $10 (I got extra chips and salsa) which is a steal! Will definitely be visiting again!
A casual dining experience. Not a typical menu. Very crowded and noisy. Food was good Counter service. Very hot and staff was not cheerful
The Santa Barbara taco is the best! Very cool vibe. Fresh pressed tortilla on fresh farm raised meat and veggies.
Visiting from out if town and was recommended this place by friends that live in Asheville. The tacos are phenomenal. Our group got several different kinds, and everyone loved them.
Delicious El Pastor tacos. Shrimp tacos were pretty shrimpy tasting though. Chips, salsa, and cheese were awesome. Cool spot!

The atmosphere was great, but the horchata was overly sweet and the first bite of my Americana, the chicken was hard. Chips were stale and overly salted. Queso was okay but nothing I could have bought cheaper at Taco Bell.
great Tacos. Very fast service
As someone who grew up eating Mexican food, this place was a disappoinment. They can have a star for being clean and for helpful staff. However, the food, although cute to look at, is incredibly bland. Rice was plain, beans were a tasteless paste, salsa was basically roasted tomatoes. Only tastes for our la pastor tacos were grease and pineapples. Portions were child sized, and a night of GI issues for us sealed the deal for skipping this place when we visit town again.
You just simply can't go wrong at Taco Temple y'all! EVERYTHING is good here, the food's always fresh, the service is always awesome & super quick, AND the tortillas are homemade & to DIE for!!!! The best part is that they have a different speciality taco every day, so there is always something new to choose from, plus they have indoor AND outdoor seating! If you can't tell, it's most DEFINITELY one of my fave spots in my hometown😁
We stopped by here for a quick bite but it proved to be a pleasant experience. Very reasonable price and you'd think with that price maybe they'd serve a cheap food but it's not. High quality taco. I'd actually say it's the best quality taco I've ever had for that range of price. Restroom was clean also. I believe we visited around two PM and yet the restaurant was quite full.
Wow, this place is amazing. Friendly service, helpful staff, and delicious food.
Great tacos. Good pricing. Definitely enjoy this place! Their salsa is some of the best I've had. I love that they give chips with the tacos.
Great little spot. We stumbled onto Taco Temple leaving town. The ingredients were fresh and everything we had was full of flavor. Would definitely recommend it.
Just when I thought tacos couldn't get any better in town. I rarely go up this way, but will make a special trip for this tasty lunch spot. Loved the menu and the staff.
Love this place! The loreto taco (shrimp) and spicy chicken are my two favorites. All tacos come with a side of chips and salsa that is delicious. Cute indoor space, also has outdoor seating that fills up quickly on a nice day.
Taco Temple was on the Asheville Taco Map so when I happened to drive past it, I decided to try it out. The side exterior has a cool lotería painted on it. The inside was casual and the food was ready almost as soon as I sat down. Hmm... I ordered the Chips and Chorizo Queso, the Tinga because the Taco Map listed this as their best taco and the Al Pastor. The Chorizo Queso tasted store bought. The Tinga was good but the best part was the homemade corn tortilla. I liked the Al Pastor better. I don't normally have al pastor with pineapple but I didn't mind it. I have to say, I'm not really impressed with the Asheville taco scene. I knew I should've tried out the taquerias off the beaten path!
I think the food to your might be okay but I never actually found out because it took almost 50 minutes to get a taco. by the time they showed up I was so upset I couldn't even taste the food. Do not go to this restaurant if you want a taco in less than 50 minutes
I seem to be one of very few people who didn't have the greatest experience here. The prices were fair and the service was fast, but I thought the Tacos al Pastor were pretty bland. There was a decent selection of hot sauces, but they didn't do much to add flavor.
Excellent food with casual dining. Quick, friendly service. Easy access.Great place to grab a quick-ish bite, in the company of mostly local residents. Families especially welcome and abundant. Outdoor seating at picnic tables under awnings are especially peasant in warmer weather. Sharing of the tables is frequent and well behaved.Ingredients are perfectly seasoned and very authentic. Interesting combos. Tortillas made on premises, corn and flour are available. The chips look a bit like the flavorless, tasteless, thick kind in found in commercial packaging. They are absolutely not!!! Fresh, crisp, and flavor shines through. Many choices for enhancing the flavor. Try several.Small, limited, but well curated alcoholic beverages on offer, as well as a decent selection of the non-alcoholic type. Portion sizes are sensible, adding more is quick and easy.Parking on site is a bit limited, but usually adequate.Pride of product shines through with every staff interaction.A few lighting issues with reading the posted menu, but help is proffered readily and cheerfully! All around outstanding casual dining experience! Thanks!
Had chips with Queso v g but not real warm. Tacos outstanding . Homemade flour tortillas . Service quick - Draft beer. Nice outdoor seating
My husband and I stumbled upon this taco stand for breakfast on our way home from the Grove Park Inn. I'm so glad we stopped! If they are serving breakfast I highly recommend trying it. I had the chirizo, egg, cheese taco with homemade salsa- mouth watering! We can't wait to go back and have their lunch or dinner. Quickly made, reasonably priced, and great flavor.
We went here for lunch and it was great. I would suggest not getting a side of chips and salsa because your meal comes with some and we didnt know it. The shrimp taco was my favorite. The topping on it was so flavorful.
I’ve wanted to try this a couple of times when in town. Finally made time. It’s a cute taco place. The tacos are a little non traditional but really good. You can get a corn or flour tortilla. They are small tacos. They also have cheese dip, guacamole and other sides. The cheese dip is quite big so plenty for sharing with a table. They have tables inside and out. I had the chorizo and brisket tacos. Both were really quite good. They don’t skimp on meat. Give it a try.
Awesome tacos. Love the ambiance. Love how little waste is created. Great drinks available. Flexible seating is great. Good for families and small groups.
This place is really good..!! Good tacos and really good salsas, handmade corn tortillas is a plus..!!! Very affordable and worth the wait, friendly staff
The Taco Temple has a great selection of tacos at very reasonable prices. The service is quick and friendly and they always have specials. The Cabo of the day is my favorite. They also have local draft beer and other beverages.
Very good, legit tacos. One of those places locals eat....& I see why. Excellent tacos. I had a chicken tinga which was outstanding, & I also had a borracha, which is also chicken but in a spicy beer sauce which really was spicy (& I got a decent tolerance). The guacamole was also very good, very fresh. I would highly recommend Taco Temple if you're in the mood for some really good tacos.
Very good food. Fair prices and friendly staff. My nephew love this place too.
Staff could be a little more welcoming and friendlier. Personally, I prefer Zia's and Taco Billy's tacos.
Awesome place. If you like taco, you will love here
"I'd do this all again" wow, these are great tacos! Taco Temple is a counter walkup, then they bring the food to your table. The decor is super cute and last night the guy at the counter was super friendly and helpful. I can't do very spicy and he took the time to highlight for me the ones that would be more mild. They have big high top community tables and regular height smaller tables. They give you a number and bring your food to the table. I had the Baja toco, everyone who ordered this one agreed that it was delicious! I also ordered the Mexican vegetable plate. Those are addictive! They come with a fried dough spicy lime cracker which is so good. And the veggies are pickled, with a great fresh not too dilly flavor! I think I could eat a bucket of those. The cauliflower in particular was very good and different from a normal pickle offering. My son in law eats lunch here at least once a month and said the office group really likes this place. I highly recommend stopping by for authentic street tacos at a great price, between 3.00-5.00 a piece.
This place has become a goto for me. Always fast and always fresh! Delicious
Wonderful tacos with lots of filling choices, meat, fish and non-animal protiens available. Counter service with comfortable dining areas. Reasonably priced. Drinks with refills.
The tacos are amazing. But the filling lately not so much. Less inside the taco and sometimes overcooked. I miss the good quality that made this place a twice or more weekly stop. Please bring back the quality.
Best fish taco/corn tortilla I have ever had! Friendly staff and great environment. I will totally be back next time I'm in town!
