Might be our favorite spot in Asheville. Cool location. Restaurant is small and comfy with outside seating. Wine shop. Service always excellent. Food is delish, I crave the French omelette it's so simple yet addicting. Lamb burger 10/10. Falafel is yummy hoping they add one or two additional vegan options. We love it here we will be back.

Incredible. Some of the best food I’ve experienced in Asheville. The ingredients were so fresh and complex. My mom and I went here last week and we were blown away. Highly recommend the quiche and the chocolate dessert with olive oil on it.

Had an amazing brunch here yesterday morning. Very friendly staff and just a very warm, personable experience overall - a smaller, comforting space. I will be thinking of the french omelet I had for awhile.

Dear introverts, deep-dive researchers, type A planners, and anyone who happens to read this:

If you're looking for the best of Asheville -- go here.
If you're having a bad day -- go here.
If you're feeling lonely -- even if you don't feel like socializing -- go here.
If you have some time to kill in between life happenings -- go here.
If you want to make a moment, however big or small, feel special -- yup, go here.

Mother is the special kind of third space that changes the course of your day for the better. You'll feel cared for, but not inundated with questions and drivel. The staff is caring and attentive, but never overbearing. The food -- well, it speaks for itself. Consistently satisfying.

It's like having a meal at your cool aunt's house. Mother is safe, inviting, and funky -- but not full of herself. It's just the perfect place, whatever mood you're in.

Cheers.

What a sweet spot! The menu here isn’t your usual overwhelmingly long brunch menu - which I prefer - and every item on it is unique! Not where you’ll want to come if you want your typical eggs benny or stack of pancakes. I had a mind blowing “NC grits and greens” to which I added a side mushrooms, and a mimosa. One of the best brunch dishes I’ve ever had!

The food is always delicious! Our barista/bartender today was fabulous. She handled the busy opening with grace and humor, and an excellent playlist!
Mother never disappoints. Grab some bread to go!
