The food is so good! I am now a burrito addict but it has to come from Neo! I think they are probably the only ones (that I have found) that have cojito(?) cheese.

The food was really good! Got the Jerk Chicken burrito with pineapple salsa and it rocked! It was quick and no more expensive than most other places. I will definitely be back!

Nothing really bad to say, just last time food was not as good as it had been in the past visits.

The food is delicious but most importantly there are weekly specials that make it affordable! 3 dollar tacos on Tuesday is incredible! That’s even cheaper than some food trucks. I used to frequent the East Asheville location before it shut and enjoyed it just as much! I will be back and you all should too. Gotta keep this Gem in business!

Woahhh $8 for A taco?? One!? This can’t be real. Build your own taco (1) for $4.99- add $3 per taco for a protein (even ground beef!!!). I used to eat here all the time and I never recall spending $24+ on 3 tacos. I liked that I could choose more of my own options in comparison to Chipotle, but $8 for 3 tacos vs $24 is wild, and the taste is not good enough to justify the prices.

This seems to be a trend with a number of restaurants, this one included. Working Uber Eats, this place never has the order even close to ready. Why are we sent here? To wait?? Became double frustrated when another customer came in 5 minutes after me and I watched them fulfill his order before mine! Really?? Sure they apologized for the wait but I’m really tired of my customers being placed a non priority. Next time I come here and the order isn’t ready I’ll just have to drop the order so I’m not wasting my time and losing money.

Asheville native, first of all. I remember when this restaurant was great. I wish I could put more blame on the pandemic, but they were headed to this before then. We’ve tried to go several times in the last 5 years just to get there and realize they’re out of too many things and don’t even have the ingredients to make our food. We’ve walked out more times in the last 5 years than we’ve actually gotten food from there. Today it was just the catfish they didn’t have so we went ahead and put an order in. Two burritos $13/$17, one large queso $8, fountain drink $2.50. Total was $43. The kicker for me, and what prompted me to leave this review, is that they wanted to charge me $1 more for adding lettuce to the burrito. Considering that these burritos are mostly filled with beans and rice, very little meat and other fillings, there should be a wide enough profit margin for little add ons like this. I understand charging extra for guacamole, queso, pico de gallo, or even sour cream (like my husbands had the additional $1 charge for this). But lettuce? I imagine this is the least expensive ingredient they serve. I just declined the lettuce and chuckled a little at the ridiculousness of it. Ambiance is totally off here too, it’s like they definitely don’t want you to stay and eat. We got to go and knew we were taking out but I don’t think we would’ve stayed either way. I can go to a restaurant, where my hubs and I both order soda, get cheese dip, and be waited on for less than $43, including tip. I simply don’t see us going back. I also get that the sustainability, or the illusion of it, is important to them but it’s pricing them out of their intended market and it’s hardly a restaurant when they don’t have the ingredients to fulfill an order.
