I came for some tamales to take home, and a couple of tacos for the road.
I was told they were sold out, although folks dining at tables seem to have plenty of food.
I am bilingual and lived in Mexico over a decade, so I don't imagine that language was the issue. I really can't rate the food because I never had any, but the service was horrible.

The food was very very dry and guess that's because the female lady who usually cools bow allows kids and teenagers to cook the food while she sits and looks. Gets mad when im trying to tell her the problem!

I don't recommend to eat here. Wait time almost triple from what they tell you. And rude.

Not understanding any of the low reviews?? Country white folk I'm assuming? The tacos here are great!! Pricy still... but that's Asheville :(

Boring border style food served in a dirty shack.
You order through a hole in the kitchen door. Then you wait, and wait. While waiting, you have time to see the filth all around you.
Sorry, I wanted to like it.

Delicious asada tacos. A little overcooked but generous portions. Customer service was meh.

The worst lamb barbecue I have ever eaten, I do not recommend it
I love their tacos so much, and the service is always friendly! Favorite place besides Taqueria Muñoz, except it isn't as packed or as popular, and they accept card
Also, their pozole is only available on Sundays.

The food is very good. The place is small. I noticed that many people ordered food to go. There's no restroom. The guy who runs the gas station next door WILL NOT ALLOW YOU to use the restroom. We were planning to buy something at the gas station, and he said that it was out of service until a little girl ( assuming she is the owner's daughter) beg him to allow us to use the bathroom, but at this point we decided to go to anothe gas station and buy some snacks, and use their restroom. So, if you are planning to go to the restaurant, keep in mind there is no restroom. Take it to go. Overall, the food was very good!

Don’t judge this book by its cover. Or do, and leave it for the rest of us.This little taco joint is more spacious and welcoming than it appears from the outside. Loved the pastor tacos (3.50/each) and included salsa verde. Friendly, patient service.

I really liked the lady that was working and the family atmosphere and art on walls but we waited forever while 4 other customers came and went... did not get what I ordered, I was very polite but really disappointed cause I kinda felt discrimination vibes . The Karens have ruined everything.I'm really wanting to see family businesses thrive ,and I dont want to see them loose customers and I hope this can be constructive criticism.

Was visiting Asheville this past weekend and was taken here for lunch. Hands down the best tacos I’ve ever eaten.
