51 Biltmore Ave, Asheville
Had the crab cakes and lobster roll expecting to be underwhelmed and it was really good. Pool table and board games are available to make a night of it too.
Claudia was on the night we visited and she was a delight. The outside patio is fun and heated. The room has a fireplace and seating is good.
Very nice ambience and good service from wxyz team tonight , Special thanks to Qayyum , Hizzir , Shasi and Izzul for making my night happy with the superb drink and huge sandwich (long john) Keep it up!!
Awesome staff and most accommodating! Being a loyal ?Titanium Elite? member, they made me feel like royalty! Thank you! Mike&Karen Weldon
I love this hotel!! I love the fact they have rescue pups that you can meet and bond with and it?s so well run with plenty of friendly staff ready to meet your needs!!
It's fun that there is a pool table and a balcony over the street scene, but the bartender was indifferent to our concerns and careless about his craft. The drink was undrinkable.
Great location. Balcony overlooking the street action. Saturday night had a live band playing. Includes a pool table.
great staff. dog friendly
We stopped at the Wxyz bar while staying at the hotel and enjoyed having a drink overlooking Biltmore Ave. We stopped back in later in the evening and had a few nightcaps.
We grabbed a quick bite last night. Food was fine (burger and flatbread pizza) but eating on the terrace on a beautiful shady afternoon was very nice. Earlier in the afternoon, the terrace was in full sun which would have been too hot. We were there around six and it was delightful. Service was also very attentive.
Recently I had to stay in Tulsa for 9 days for training. I visited the WXYZ bar at the Aloft Hotel. Lori the bartender was awesome! She was friendly upbeat and could fix any drink you wanted perfectly every time. I went back many times just to relax shoot some pool and visit. Great time! Thank you ð???
Really great place to hang out, and I'm a local. I come to play pool all the time and the staff is super nice and the ambiance is great. It's rarely crowded and the one time I got food it was really good. This is definitely somewhere to check out for a drink and some relaxation.
Live music, non-typical covers, great drinks, very good selections.
Nice place to hang out!
WXYZ is part of Aloft hotel at kl sentral. It has a live band performances almost daily - but you can call them and confirm before going..KL SENTRAL line is right next door and is walkable if you are taking the train.. Good accompaniments are available to eat.Overall a good evening hangout or for family/ friends gathers.
My husband and I wanted a casual meal without having to leave the hotel and the WXYZ was the place to do that. The wine list was great for a lobby bar. Actually although it is a lobby bar, it is much more. They make a great burger and fries and the service was prompt and friendly (although there were very few people there). So it was an attractive, relaxing place to get a good bite to eat and relax.
Came here twice in a span of 60â??days, and the food and drinks were on point both times. Great bartenders, great bar!
Meh. Service - 3. Atmosphere - 3. Food 3 - don't order the cauliflower or the fries. Mac & cheese ok. Drinks ok. But bartender didn't tell us about the wine special to benefit Autism - not cool.
Great place! Love their pool table :)
Again, like the hotel, has a cool vibe. Nice beer list with local brews being popular. Friday night had a DJ that played some cool music and not at a volume where you couldn't talk. Not a bad place to hang out at all. Outside deck area that seemed busy but I didn't check it out.
Nice place to have a drink or a meeting. The environment is really cool, the decoration is something awsome. Prices here as usual for bars are not low but it is ok. There is a pool table also which is good. Nice place.
Great place to hang. Part of Starwood property Inside aloft hotel. Pets friendly. Free nuts. Stuffed Avocado are divine, Buffalo Cauliflower is unique and delicious. Restroom are clean. Prices are affordable. Special I closed $5 margarita for Monday, Tuesday $4 tap, Wednesday $10 bottle of wine, Thursday $3 brewery pints, Friday $5 fireball shots and $3 vodka Redbull, Saturday $10 boiler maket finally Sunday $5 Bloody Mary and mimisan.
Awesome atmosphere, relaxing.
I would agree with a previous review that this place is not very Ashville. But it is a nice plave to stop and relax and have some appetizers. I liked the space and the rooftop patio. We were there early in afternoon and it was pretty subdued. They have an onsite dog that is available for adoption. I liked their pro animal policies.
This meet market is for young undiscriminating drinkers looking to be trendy. One can also find unadventurous tourists who think they are 'soaking up the AVL scene', when, in fact, the only Ashevillian thing about the place are a few beers and the bartender.
DESIGN? Each wall was pulled from a different page of a different IKEA catalog, by a designer in an office 1000 miles away... who clearly has never been to Asheville. LIGHTING? A wall of LED glare behind the bar; Corey Heart justified.
If you have to meet someone there at least sit on the patio; you might see a local in the street below.
We?ve always had a great experience here. Dog friendly and we like the general atmosphere. In the past, we?ve had awesome bartenders who genuinely wanted to help, making suggestions for craft beers and various venues/breweries in town. We had the unfortunate experience tonight to be served my ?Max?. Max didn?t bother to give an itemized receipt when closing out the tab. When I went back to ask for one he was very disrespectful, rolling his eyes and slamming it on the bar. Whe
Excellent drinks and cool atmosphere. Upscale bar with indoor outdoor lounge seating. Great place to visit in the summer with alofts rooftop pool.
Would not expect the service and food from a hotel bar! the selection. of rotating beers is amazing, the bar tender has provided me samples before I made a fianl decision. The knowledge of the bar tender blows me away not just from his local beer knowledge from his liquor knowledge as well. I honestly fell in love with the White Zombie which was smooth and allowed me to have a fee to get me thru the night of work as well. For dinner I had the pretzels as a appitizer which were great, crunchy on the outside with a buttery outside and soft warm inside served with 2 different mustards. Then I had the Good Bros Grilled Chicken Sandwhich was amazing. the ginger beer marinated chicken was nice and moist and cooked to perfection, the granny Smith apples and brie and onion was a great side kick to the chicken. the fries were a truffle fries and served almost a pound with the sandwhich.
the bar is great, the food is very good, staff very friendly, but the bartender MAX is the best in town, he always has a smile,WXYZ keep up the good work
This is for the lovely, I mean bitchy, waitress Sarah. Went to W XYZ today with 8 other girls. The waitress asked us what we wanted and we asked for 9 waters while we looked over the menu. She told us there was a water cooler inside and we can help ourselves. At the end of the meal, I walked inside to grab some ice for our waters. Overhead our waitress say, "I had a table of 9 ask for waters and I said you can grab them for your fucking self." Last time I checked, it's not uncommon to ask for water...
Great place to grab a few drinks and listen to live music on a Thursday night! Loved sitting by the fire. The singers were both great and the environment was relaxed. Loved playing with the doggies from the hotel and its guests!
I liked this little bar, bartender super sweet, pretty good drink selection, liked the balcony overlooking the street. I like Aloft Hotels because the staff is usually top rate and this guys were no exception. Can't remember the great dark haired girls name at the front desk, but you've helped me on my last 3 visits and you are always super chill! Thanks!
Hip spot to imbibe and/or meet people in a central and upbeat locale. On the terrace there's a nice vibe, with comfy seats that overlook the peregrinations of people and cars below.... Friendly staff. Nice bar to just relax and sip and gab.
Try the wasabi-covered peanuts, complimentary at the bar.
Granted, we were there on a weeknight, but this place just might be a little hidden gem. A bar is only as good as the person behind it making drinks, and we got a winner the night we went. He made me an old-fashioned that was every bit as good as those I get at Sazerac, and that's really saying something. The seating is a little odd, tough to find just a normal chair sitting around. Would be awesome to sit outside on the balcony, but the night we went it was closed because it was cold and raining.
Great ambiance. Patio is great lots I seating and heat lamps. Great place to people watch.
Sleek, sophisticated and classy the W XYZ lounge is a trendy spot for a nice drink in downtown Asheville. Just a short walk up from the hotel lobby, you enter the bright, stylish and uber-modern lounge with outdoor terrace. Cozy up to the bar to order a kiwi cocktail or in my case, a sour apple and cucumber martini that will set you back a cool $10 bucks. Having just opened, the bartenders are still getting used to the menu and setup, so be prepared to wait awhile, just bask in the lightly thumping music and glowing backlit bar. Even though the inside of the lounge is a great place to sit and enjoy a drink, outside on the terrace is where W XYZ really shines. As one of the few places in downtown Asheville where you can lounge outside while taking in the sights on Biltmore Ave, this is the hot place to be. Definitely recommend W XYZ as an upscale bar to enjoy a classy drink.
