Always a great place to visit when we are in Beech. We rented our snowboard equipment this year from there. The manager of the rental shop was super helpful and great to talk to. I highly recommend.
You will get a good breakfast, but you are going to wait on it! Slow.

Waited 45 minutes for a biscuit. Most ridiculous kitchen mis management I have ever seen! Get it together

The food was good, but someone took our food and we waited over 30 minutes had to go and ask how much longer it would be for our burgers that is when we learned our food was given to someone else. This place is completely disorganized especially when they are doing the backyard burger. The pricing was reasonable.

Fred's Mercantile is an iconic, must visit, store that is a landmark of Beech Mountain history. The deli is usually good, but it can have it's off days.

Frank's Backside Deli is a hidden gem that truly impresses atop Beech Mountain with its delightful menu and charming atmosphere. Our family has visited since the 1980's. The standout dishes include the BLT with Avocado, which is perfectly balanced and flavorful, and the Great Ole' Smokey sandwich, which is a must-try for its rich, smoky taste. Both sandwiches are best enjoyed on their sourdough bread, which adds a wonderful texture and flavor.
The deli's glassed-in dining room offers stunning views, including the rooftop, adding a unique charm to your meal. If you prefer dining al fresco, the outdoor seating area is equally appealing. Here, you can enjoy your food while taking in views of local wildlife, soothing fountains, and the beautiful surroundings.
Attached to Frank's Backside Deli is a gift shop and general merchandise store, offering a wide range of items at fair prices. It's a great spot to browse and find unique gifts or everyday essentials.
Overall, Frank's Backside Deli is a fantastic place to enjoy delicious food in a beautiful setting, with the added bonus of a well-stocked, reasonably priced gift shop. Highly recommended for both locals and visitors alike.

This place my company has utilized a few times over the last 2.5 weeks for lunch visits. 30 plus minute waits for sandwiches and salads. Watching people going to counter regularly asking where their food is and so forth. I definitely would not recommend it. Even the cashier yesterday was very rude to a lady at the counter. Steer clear for lunch.

Great hamburgers off the grill. With location over 5,0000 feet above sea level, pleasant temps when hot below.
