We went Sunday for the breakfast buffet. They had a great selection and everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. No need to add salt, which is rare for breakfast at a restaurant. Prices were fair.
I had the opportunity to have lunch at Fred's yesterday afternoon. It seems to be run like a mom and pop's restaurant run by a family which is fine. The restaurant itself is cramped and there was a funky smell we couldn't place. My daughter said it smelled like feet and I have to agree. The drink machines weren't working and the other drink options weren't great. Also, they have a menu on their website, but most of those items listed are not available...
We visit beech mountain every year. We love the grocery store - it has everything we need during our stay and absolutely love their deli. The food is awesome, the service is great, prices are reasonable. Can't wait to go back next year.
