Haven't been to Rhodes since 2005 when visiting my cousins that live in Beulaville. Can still taste the "southern" iced tea, hush puppies, coleslaw and all that we had to eat that last visit. The food at the time was super delicious and the service very friendly. Love the cozy atmosphere and the ol' timey companionship of friendly neighbors! Yep, it's a diner. It's bigger inside then it looks from the outside. Standard grill fare including a meat special with two vegetables. We had hamburger steak with brown gravy and onions with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was pretty good. Also had the chicken sandwich, it had good spices. Has about 15 tables and most everybody knows everybody else. Pleasant inside with nice waitstaff. Will be back when we're through this area again.
