I had the Chorizo Tacos and oh goodness, it was some of the best Mexican food I have even eaten. The service was spot on . We had a wonderful early supper there. I had been wanting to try it. I just hate it too so long. Fantastic food & service. I will be back!

Chicken Tacos - chicken had no flavor, raw diced onions were not helping. Salsa was almost pure liquid. Want this restaurant to succeed but places like Donna's in Lenoir show what good Mexican food can be locally.

We enjoyed our lunch today. The staff was friendly and attentive. Food was good. Everyone enjoyed it. We would go back again next time we are in town.

I went in here with some friends hoping for some good Mexican food. We ordered drinks and a queso and never received our queso. The waiter who seemed to be new and untrained in the ways of customer service, brought us our food, proceeded to sit down at the table next to us and count his tips and never checked on our level of satisfaction with the food. My wife's carnitas tacos were dry and bland. She had them swapped out with a shrimp enchilada dish that was also not very good. I normally never leave anyone less than 20% as a tip but I couldn't bring myself to leave that amount after such awful service and lackluster food.P.S. I've never dined in a Mexican restaurant that had a wooden plaque with quote from the holocaust. The whole decor of the dining area appeared to be haphazardly put together.

The carnitas tacos were dry and flavorless. The salsa tasted like marinara sauce. The womens bathroom has a toilet that needs maintenance, broken hand towel dispenser, empty toilet paper and empty hand sanitizer dispenser. The coat/purse hook had a random clothes hanger on it. Womens bathroom is not accessible for large people as it is reminiscent of a closet.I was really hoping for authentic flavorful Mexican cuisine.

Nice little restaurant off the main road. Food was fine, service was good.

Decided to give them another try. Food was just ok. Front staff was very busy sitting at a table on their phones and talking. Waitress did the minimal required regarding service. Surely Boone has better Mexican restaurants, otherwise we’ll eat Mexican in other towns.

Great breakfast. The food was fresh and delicious. Our server was personable and provided wonderful service. I would recommend El Rincon to my friends and family.

What can I say? The salsa was delicious. I had the Rincon enchiladas. The side of rice was flavorful, the beef enchilada was tasty, and the chicken was ok. The sauce was mixed with queso. Probably could have used more queso. I would give them another try if I'm craving Mexican while in blowing rock.

Set at the bottom of a mountain in a quaint little town, this little Mexican restaurant is tucked into a curve and looks small from the outside. But once you step inside, it's much bigger than it looks. It serves both Mexican fares and American dishes, which is kind of neat. We ordered Mexican and the dishes had your typical taste. It was good food, good salsa, and the cheese dip had a zing to it. The waitress needed assistance a few times due to her learning English, but hey, everyone has the right to learn so be kind. We were so hungry after doing a lot of hiking that I failed to take any ?.Parking: It's a small parking lot out in front of the building. I didn't check to see if they had more parking around back.

My husband and I dropped in El Rincon for breakfast. I was shocked to find so many items on the menu. We ordered a country breakfast and a chicken and waffle meal. They were incredibly delicious. The chicken was a hand-breaded breast and so tasty. We went back later for dinner because the experience was so great. My husband ordered Mexican food and I ordered Southern comfort food. Both were outstanding. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming, and it is very clean. You must go!!

Let me preface this by saying that we are locals. We’ve seen restaurants come and go in this little town for years, most recently, a breakfast restaurant whose owners were overwhelmed with the high volume of traffic in Blowing Rock. El Rincon has become a staple restaurant here and we love it. The restaurant is always clean, the food is very well prepared and very tasty and all the servers, including the owner, are happy, courteous and always aiming to please. While other touristy restaurants in the area select their hours, close on Tuesday, and/or “off season,” these guys are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week year round , and always with a good attitude. The cuisine is Mexican/American and both sides of the menu are lovingly prepared fresh for you by Letitia and her family.and are equally as delicious. If you want a crowded, rude, overrated, expensive mediocre meal, then go elsewhere. If you want a freshly prepared, served-with-love eating experience, then go to El Rincon.

Such a nice Hispanic family running the joint but I have never paid $30 for a very small, bad taco salad, 2 side order street tacos for my wife and a tea. Yes—$30.00. If this place is a 2022 readers choice for Trip Advisor then Trip Advisor is Trippin’.

Carnitas were small both the carnitas meal and the tacos and overpriced. I liked how open the restaurant was and the service was nice. Chips were stale. I would bring our toddler here and I think it’s kid friendly. We would be back if we needed a kid friendly place or space to spread out. No beer on draft. Spent 40 bucks on 2 people for lunch and 2 Pepsis that weren’t refilled.
