Always good food, service, clean restrooms, fast service! I have been coming here for years! However, something I saw recently will make me pause next time I think about coming back. Today, when I walked into the bathroom one of the cooks was coming out of the stall. He initially went straight for the door and then realized I was there. So, he splashed water on his hands for literally 3 seconds then grabbed a town and ran out.

Wonderful family owned restaurant with generous portions and delicious food. My family and I loved the atmosphere and our dining experience. The owners kids were playing in a booth near ours and were perfectly mannered and great to be around. We love small family run business and wish them all the best!

Food is great and all no problem in that area. The problem with this place is you will pay 40 damn dollars for 3 teriyaki chicken trays and when you go to open up your tray it will barley have any damn rice in it. Restaurant these days always want to charge more and give less. PUT MORE RICE THEN ITS 5/5!!!
I ordered the fillet mignon, but was given tough overcooked steak.

We love the food, and the take-out. But we like dining in too, and every other time it seems they lost their liquor license. We like Sake with our dinner.

Hokkaido is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Boone in my opinion. The food is always incredible, the service is usually very quick, they can cater to larger parties as well. My family goes here about once every two weeks for dinner, and we all always enjoy our meals. They also have sushi, although I have never tried it from there.
Hibachi style food without the show. Food is prepared in an open kitchen. Hokkaido soup was a hot broth garnished with mushroom and green onions. Ginger dressing on salad was on the sweet side. Enjoyed a combo plate of Filet Mignon and Jumbo Shrimp accompanied by fried rice, carrots, broccoli and mushrooms. Well prepared and presented, but on the salty side. Good value overall.
