A blast from the past! Where else can you get good food for a good price and end your meal with Yum Yum? This is the only place around these parts near or far. When I read it on the dessert menu board, my wife asked what I had been drinking back up the hill at Hometown Power Hardware. She was seated with her back to the sign, and she couldn't read what it said. I told her again, but she still didn't believe me. It was the first time I had seen it offered on a menu anywhere before. We had a very good lunch, met some nice people and enjoyed our visit very much!

I'm ashamed that I didn't take pictures ? but you must eat at the black bear!!!! My favorite things to eat are the onion rings, the pimento grilled cheese, the hot fudge cake is to die for!!! They have fresh food and a cozy atmosphere. The waitress are very sweet and you know they love their job. We will be back.

Takeout meal for family Christmas dinner,. Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoe casserole. Everything was excellent and at a great price. We will be back. Go Bears!

Had the turkey and dressing lunch special. The turkey was ok very bland as were the instant mashed potatoes. Dressing was gummy and the onion and celery was still crunchy. Don’t recommend this.

Excellent food, friendly staff, clean. We had two toddlers with us and they were very accommodating. I can't stand a burger well or medium well. I asked for my 1/2 lb burger to be cooked medium and it was perfect!

The atmosphere is always relaxed, and the service is impeccable. I would highly recommend the Bologna sandwich, which was more of a Bologna burger. The cheeseburgers are always perfect, and the fries cooked to perfection.
