Oooooh, so many things to love about this place!! On a recent "Girls Day" I said that I had been wanting to try this place. My stomach chose wisely!! First, it's beautiful outside and rustic chic inside (look at the ceilings). It was decorated for Halloween and was fantastic. We split the collard dip as an appetizer, highly recommend it especially because of the chips. Two of us went for the Farmers Daughter veggie plate. Mine: Pinto beans, pimento Mac 'n Cheese, grits, and fried cabbage, the other had a Caesar Pasta salad and fried okra. They didn't have cornbread for the pintos (please bring it back, it's weird not having cornbread with pintos, I expected my Nanny to serve some up from beyond the grave). The okra was great, definitely not mushy. Everything was freaking delicious. Other friend had the Bourbon Burger with "woodchips" (house chips), it was thick and perfectly done. We wanted the Ramp Jam burger but they were out but it gives us something to look forward to. Our wonderful waiter, Ezra, recommended the strawberry shortcake so of course we had to leave room to share it. YUM!! Go for it. The cocktails were tempting but since I was driving it will have to wait until next time.

Absolutely NOT BAD. In Canton, it is a very solid choice. Nothing to write home about, but nothing serious to rate badly for. Service is friendly, but fairly slow (order your next drink when the first arrives). Food is pretty good, portions are a bit small for the price

Enjoyed a to Shrimp Dinner on a Beautiful Saturday Wait staff was great greeters, and my food was good, and hot.

Pulled off interstate in Canton for a place to eat. Southern Porch was listed. What a great find. The food was great, staff friendly and good beer selection. Will definitely be back when through this way again

We were passing through town and smelled something that smelled delicious. We followed the scent to Southern Porch. It appears to be an old house turned restaurant. This makes the ambiance perfect for a meal with a Southern flair.Being a Tuesday evening, the crowd was light and service was quick. We decided on the Collard bacon dip for an appetizer. The dip is delicious! My only gripe is the chips. I would prefer a lighter chip than the flour tortilla.I gave the Ramp bacon jam burger a try with fried green tomatoes. My wife had the farmer's daughter plate ( grits, cabbage, pintos, pimento Mac-n-cheese) with a side of tenders. Everything was delicious! I also had the blackberry margarita that was phenomenal as well... Perfect balance of sweet and tangy. If we are back in the area we will be back!

Nice downtown Canton, NC, full service restaurant with tasty food selections, a good-sized beer list, and some wines. I had a blackened salmon filet with fried green tomatoes, and blue cheese cole slaw. An enjoyable dinner with old friends was had!

Very cool place with a creepy historical vibe. The bees knees drink with gin and local honey was awesome. We also had the buffalo chicken dip, the haunted beef tips, and the meatloaf. I had a side salad which was fresh and had cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, cheese, Everything was delicious! The service was fast and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.

The food is good. Unfortunately service was very slow. It took an hour after we ordered to get our food. It wasn't busy, only another table and ours in the patio. That was quite stressful specially when you're hungry. Of course by then my steak which I had ordered medium rare was just well done. It was still tasty so I ate it

Horrible experience!!! Took over an hour to get food. When food arrived several people's orders were not right but we chose not to say anything and just ate what we got. When we received the checks I should have had 1 adult meal and one kids meal. I was charged for 2 adult meals. I explained to the waitress that 1 was supposed to be a kids meal she said ok your right I'll go fix it. I few minutes later a different women came out to explain to me that a kids meal was a 3 PC chicken strip not the 5 pc. I replied well I'm not sure about that cause I have never been here before but I do know what I ordered and I ordered a kids chicken strip meal. So the new lady went back and sent me a new receipt that then included a kids meal but I was charged a $2 up charge because my 2 and 3 year old split a meal. (Wow) Never had such a bad experience and just so everyone is aware the 2nd lady was the owner!!!

Placed an order online for a yardbird sandwich and they called me shortly after to apologize for running out of chicken that evening - super friendly while setting me up with a different meal at no additional cost. Food was good, service was great. Worth it if you're visiting for sure!
