The chef is skilled. All the fried dishes we had were light and crisp. The shrimp stole the show each time it appeared. In house made desserts and drinks were also wonderful.

The food was delicious! I ordered the scallops and they were delicious but they were not very big and the side of mixed greens was very small.

The food is delish, and the staff is always friendly. The fried green tomatoes are a must try. Every dish I've tried so far has been a hit for us. If you love music, take a few minutes to check out their memorabilia all over the restaurant.

The food is really good. Scratch made and clever menu items. A ‘proper’ restaurant near the beach. The outside of the building may make you think it’s typical beach side fare but the food is much much better. Went twice this trip.

I had a great meal at Soul Flavor.
CRAB Bites were awesome with wasabi salad.
Mongolian beef hot pot soup - just call it slightly sour vegetable beef. That's what it is. Chicken Cutlets - amazing
Land Pho - pretty good, not close to authentic, but full of flavor. This place is really pretty good.

Note: Whoever say cultural appropriation needs to be part of a meal? Restaurants and chefs can create and serve whatever they want, in their own style or authentic. That includes southern food, Vietnamese food, or any other cuisine. So stop being a negative Nancy! It's the beauty of food.

Absolutely not. This place is stolen cultural ideas. Cultural appropriation in the most disrespectful way.

From the James Brown pictures and paintings of a woman wearing her natural Afro, to sitting down and ordering deviled eggs that showed up looking like the most limp, flavorless, least filled, simple trailer park feeling eggs I've ever seen. Lifeless. A slice of olive with pimento on them and some shaken pepper? Literal pepper. That's a poor man's snack and absolutely should NOT ever be referred to as an appetizer. That alone and we were done. We left. Trying to call a place Soulflavor with literally ZERO soul and ZERO flavor--- I'm honestly appalled. The references and the pictures are the wall are someone simply stealing the Black culture and attempting to rebrand it with flavorless food. This place is a travesty.
