Enjoyed a very delicious breakfast made just the way I ordered it and a tasty latte. Highly recommend this place - not just a coffee shop, they have a full menu including breakfast, burgers and steak.

I am a regular at this restaurant and each time it is a positive experience. The food is always great and there is something for everyone on the menu. I have tried and recommend the chicken and waffles and the shrimp and grits. All of the staff are very kind and consistently check in on customers to make sure they are still doing well and have full drinks. My servers have always been happy to quickly bring out things we need like more drinks or sides. I have had Ryan V and Marie G as my servers recently and I have nothing but compliments. The wait times are very reasonable, of course it takes a little bit longer to be seated and get food or drinks when it is really busy but that is understandable. I love the cozy, warm, and friendly atmosphere inside the restaurant, and the outside seating right on Franklin Street is great as well and perfect for if you have pets.1922 next door (also a part of CCS) also has good vibes and great service and I am looking forward to going there more for coffee as well once it reopens!

Carolina Coffee Shop on Franklin is a great stop. They had our food prepared and served in lead than 10 minutes after we sat down. Coffee is excellent and various. The food menu is also extensive with breakfast brunch and lunch options. Inside the shop is a little crowded when we went in but there was plenty of outdoor seating available however, even though it was busy we had a very little wait. The servers were very nice and came to check up frequently and maintain a positive status. Very nice breakfast for bringing family in town visiting.

Coffee is pretty good, food isn’t. Hash browns and sausage went from the freezer to the microwave to my plate. Bacon was half cooked but tasted ok. Get your coffee here and your food somewhere else.

Great dinner format with nice breakfast menu and very friendly service. Had the eggs Benedict which was unique in that it shaved prosciutto included and a tasty sauce (picture below). All the plates were very reasonably priced. Great place to check out.

I like the idea of a cozy classic breakfast nook, but wooboy it was chilly in here. The atmosphere was nice other than that. Food was good and our server, Ozzy, was kind and helpful.

Insane wait times on Sunday so always be mindful about what time you go. My food has always been great! I def recommend their hot chocolate it’s HUGE and very filling - best way to warm up on a cold day :)

Food was amazing, staff very friendly. Our coffee drinks weren’t too hot and they went out of their way to make us fresh hot ones without us even asking for it.It was our first time here and definitely not our last. I definitely recommend this place!!!!

Love the food and ambiance here. By far the best coffee shop for breakfast or brunch on Franklin St. This is our go to place whenever visiting Chapel Hill.

By far, the best and legit breakfast we have had, during our 4 days staying in Chapel Hill, NC, USA.Servers were friendly, food quality were great, hot food, not warm, and taste very good. Sunny side up eggs were nicely cooked, the steaks were perfectly cooked as well. The egg Jennifer was great as well.Price was very reasonable. Pet-friendly restaurant. Will definitely visit again if we are in town. 5 stars!!!

I like the vibe of this place. You can feel it's history surround you. Regarding the food, it was good, but not great. I went with the Eye Opener breakfast. And since I was in the South, I had to go with the grits, the biscuit, and the sausage. Service was excellent as well. To net it out ... Food = 3 Atmosphere = 4 Service = 5 So I ended with a 4 mostly because of the vibe.

AMAZING❣️ first of all, everyone is super friendly, it does get busy so expect some wait time. We waited about 30 minutes. But they do take your phone number and call when you're table is ready. Menu has something for everyone, if you're into coffee, it's amazing. All of our orders were delivered in a timely manner. Fresh and great portions for what you pay. Overall great location, clean and comfortable.

Enjoyed post game meal. Started with a delicious Spiced Cider cocktail. I got pulled pork sandwich. Daughter got impossible burger which she really liked. I think we realized we got regular fries instead of rosemary fries. To be fair didn't notice until mostly eaten and did not mention to waitress. Solid pub fare. Would return and recommend.
