Have to lower my review. Love the food and staff. It was a goto for us. But now they require a credit card for a reservation. My plans may change and other venues are equal or better without this overhead baggage. Too bad we won’t be coming back.

From the first greeting to the last bite, this was an exceptional restaurant experience. We had the tasting menu, for which our server, Jolly, provided a curated wine pairing. Every dish was expertly prepared, and the wine pairings were excellently selected from their extensively curated collection. This is what a fine dining experience in the 21st century should be. The food is really spectacular here, but so was the person taking care of our table. Extremely attentive and just outstanding service from beginning to end. Get the General Tso’s Cauliflower!Vegetarian options: Menu is largely meat options, but there were really delicious choices for vegetarians in each course and the staff was very receptive of any allergies or restrictions.
Amazing food! We got the little gem salad and the Burger (splitting both of them) and it was the perfect amount for the two of us. The staff is very friendly and have really good recommendations. Sitting in the dining room leaves you with a more dark experience but sitting at the bar makes it a little brighter.

Like its sister restaurant, Bluebird, the food Hawthorne & Wood is Michelin Star level. The flavors and textures are all very refined and well balanced; fat, acid, sweet, savory, crunchy, smooth. The pork chop was an elevated and delicious interpretation of familiar American flavors. I really liked the huckleberry sauce to contrast with the tender pork and creamy parsnip puree. The flounder, in contrast, seemed inspired from Thai flavor profile with the coconut lemongrass broth and rice. Both dishes were excellent. I would describe the atmosphere of the restaurant as sophisticated and cozy. Highly recommend H&W if you're looking for a delicious upscale meal.

Wow - just amazing! Took my mom and aunt here for a birthday dinner and we were all equally blown away. The server went above and beyond for my mom's birthday (might of even had some light flirting going on haha!) which made her feel so special. Even though this is on the pricy side (hence saved for a special occasion) everything was worth the money spent. I'm not a decor guy, but we all loved the couch space in the middle where we waited for our table. You really don't see that kind of lounge space anymore. Perfect from start to finish!

We're visiting from nyc and was looking for a place to have a little wedding anniversary dinner. We had our 18 month old with us. Food was great! Good portions and tasty meals. The kids meal was impressive! We went with the grilled cheese and it came with a side of salad, butter pasta, and cookies.

EAT HERE! Went to H&W for my anniversary. Staff were superb. They were attentive, knowledgeable and knew when to be scarce and be available. The food was superb- best pork chop I have had. My wife loved the wine as well. Every aspect of the food has been thought out and crafted. The decor is romantic and classy. Great date night restaurant.
