I LOVE the pizza at Pizza Press! Considering the sheer number of pizza places on Franklin St, it might be difficult to choose a favorite but for me it's this one. This restaurant gives you the option to choose a pizza type (i.e. with pre-selected toppings and sauces) or to build your own. There is a huge range of choices - pesto sauces, white sauce, red sauce, olives, peppers, mushrooms, etc. What really makes this place stand out to me is the cheap beers - and local ones at that. There are great brews for $3 to $5 a glass which is unbeatable. Because of this, Pizza Press is a great place to have a gathering with a group of friends. There is plenty of seating inside the restaurant and there is usually very little wait to place and receive your order. Parking can be challenging in the area but there is a paid lot behind the building (free for first 45 minutes, paid after that).

We had not been “before COVID”. They are no longer associated with The Press Pizza chain and are locally owned. The sign above the door says “SOST”. Pizza is similar to what they had before as far as general ingredients but definitely different. Not great. Hubby had one of their subs and he enjoyed it. Beer selection is non-existent and there was no wine. Will not return.

The pizza is delicious. It's on the pricer side however, you can taste the freshness in the ingredients.

My family went here today and it was the best pizza we have ever had. Not only that, but the manager was especially helpful finding food options for our 5 year old with food allergies. The draft beer was excellent, as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

First time there today. Amazing experience, great people and great pizza. We got the Gluten free crust and it was perfect. Highly recommend and will be back!

1st time there. Great experience and pizza was perfection!!! My husband and I decided to ask and get food on the way to the hospital and definitely worth the stop!!

I don't understand the good reviews. Our pizzas looked nothing like the pictures posted on yelp. Ours looked very sad and lacked flavor. We ordered one regular crust and one gluten free crust (although I wonder if I really got gluten free - it was marked as such and I had a reaction to it). All the "finishing" toppings were missing. Sorry, but we won't be going back.

Okay!! I am truly a pizza lover and I was very disappointed with this pizza! Although the customer service was very nice the pizza was not satisfying to me. It was cold when it arrived which I was so upset about especially because it was my first meal for that day. One pizza was extremely crunchy was hard to enjoy and the fact that it was cold set the tone for me in a horrible way. I would suggest eating in or going to pick up your pizza yourself if you order from here. Because you will waste your money on delivery it will arrive COLD plus the price of 2 pizzas was $25 or more and sadly wasn’t worth it.

This place is awesome. I really enjoy the atmosphere as well as the food and staff. Ive been here twice now and both times my food was just phenomenal. I highly recommend the grilled chicken with some sriracha!

Best pizza in chapel hill! Gluten free and cauliflower crust! Menu is clearly listed with GF and DF and the pizza was SO good! Literally craving it now!!! They are also pretty quick!

The food was fine but just not as good as expected. I ordered a salad and it came with chicken on it that I did not order and same with the pizza - chicken came on it I did not order! The pizza was a bit burnt and the flavors and textures of the salad, which was on their menu, not custom built, was not very welll thought out and was kinda weird and WAY too salty (all the toppings were salted, and there were too many of them). I also saw some employees pulling down their masks which made me uncomfortable. The root beer they have on tap is good! All in all not terrible I just expected better for what I paid.

The perfect place for a quick and yummy meal! I love that you can customize all of your toppings and sauces. Good prices for good pizza. What more could you want!

The food is good, but it’s overpriced. It’s pizza. Good pizza, but still small pizzas with ingredients that don’t merit the price. The salad and wings were also great, and also stupidly overpriced. I guess we’re paying for their rent on Franklin.

I ordered a regular cheese pie and cheesy bread via Door Dash. I did not care for it at all. The pizza was very greasy and didn't have a lot of flavor. The cheese on the bread was over cooked so that also did not have a lot of flavor. I was very disappointed. Maybe some time in the future I'll try again but a bad first experience lingers.

This place is absolutely phenomenal! You build your pizza from a bunch of crazy fresh delicious sauces and cheeses and toppings, and can put as many as you want on there for the same price. A single pizza was more than enough to fill me up and then the atmosphere inside was incredible. They are taking cleanliness seriously which speaks volumes to businesses these days.I cannot wait to go back!
