The food, meat to be specific tasted like it had been in freezer for a while and the bathrooms were really dirty. I vene had to pee on the floor because there was p*** inside the toilet, The seating is gross I tried scooting in my chair and I felt something sticky and it was... gum

We loved our dinner at Dim Sum last weekend! We started with the pan fried pork dumplings (incredible flavor on the pork), then we had the chicken fried rice and the beef and broccoli entrees. Very classic Asian spot - we will definitely be back for takeout and more dinners!

We were served non cooked steamed pork buns as our first - we know this because the food was room temp and the paper was still attached. Could get no one's attention so on to the fried dumplings (which came out at lease 10 minutes later). Taste was good but you will need to ask for the dipping sauce that we are accustomed to having served with it. It took us a long while to catch a server's attention so we could place dinner order. Mind you, the place was only a couple of tables full. Waitress was busy conversing with what appeared to be a table of people she knew. She did say she thought we had placed an order and apologized. We order basic from the menu and that is what we got. Nothing to go and pay for at a restaurant. Avoid this place. There are plenty of other food options on the same road!

Dim Sum Restaurant is still the best in NC. Food was tasty and fresh. It's always crowded on Saturday and Sunday mornings, that's when the carts starts rolling out of the kitchen loaded with Dim Sum. The Chef has improved his menu and his flavors are definitely original, not watered down. imo, this restaurant is one of the two that I would recommend for good Chinese food.

Well for a former New Yorker who went to Sun Hop Shing in Chinatown, I'd say this is pretty close to the best dimsum in NY's Chinatown. There's a wide array of choices and all tasted great and authentic. My favorite is the fried taro root ball...yum...the filling has the slightest hint of spices but distinct and so delicious. So happy that Charlotte has authentic hand made (not frozen and heated) dumplings! Thank you! P.S. the other place was ok but not memorable.

I was told they only do dim sum with the carts on Sundays for lunch. Not sure if this is true , but I only go on Sundays. The food is excellent my family loves it. The service may be a little slow because they are always crowded, so get there early.

Nasty cold mushy shrimp 25 ways. I have done dim sum 100's of times...coast to coast...and even bad dim sum is usually good to me... I been in this place a few times...but never with this result. ...and negative Impact. Not one Asian person insight...should of warned me of what to come..I even dared the owner to try it...and he refused..pri ces were way up as well. Sad. Welp..we are off to Atlanta and Buford hwy..

Since my last review in August 2017, I have visited Dim Sum Rest. many times to enjoy their dim sum. The food has vastly improved for the better as evident by the crowds there on Saturday and Sunday mornings when I typically go with my family. I rank their dim sum as the best in Charlotte and as good as any in DC/VA/MD. As I mentioned earlier, I have had dim sum all my life in different places in the U.S. I recommend this restaurant as the best for dim sum in N.C. The wait staff are very friendly and can help you with selections, which is helpful. Management is on the scene and involved. Try it, you'll like it, we do.

The food and service are quick and great for the occasional Chinese craving. Food is rolled around on cute little carts, allowing you to view all of the foods you may want. Along with the food on the cart, you may personally order a larger platter or view the menu for further food choices. The restaurant is very clean and cute!

Went here for lunch with coworkers. The place wasn't that crowded so we were seated right away. There were three of us and we each picked 3 dim sum selections off of the menu to share. It took a little bit longer than I would have liked for them to bring our order. When it finally did arrive we each took turns sampling each of the different types of dim sum. It was delicious! They had everything from your typical Chinese food dumplings to less common but very tasty selections. If you're in the mood for something different, I would make it a point to go here (albeit when you have longer than your lunch hour) and check this place out. I would dine here again.
