The donuts were delicious, had no problem with the food. But the price was crazy, because on the menu you have 12.50 for assorted donuts, when I was rung up the total came up to almost 18 dollars, that is a pretty big jump from 12.50. The lady at the register acted as if she had an attitude as well. They also charge almost 3 or 4 dollars if you use your card and your order is under 5 dollars, that is outrageous.

First - the donuts are extraordinary! The offerings are all familiar, but there's something special in these donuts that compels us from Granville County to make the trip!Almost as a donut hors d'oeuvre, the donuts holes are so delicious as they melt away in your mouth. The apple fritters have just the perfect mix of apple and sweet pastry, as do the bear claws.My wife and I truly enjoy the old fashioned and buttermilk donuts. We even make excuses to travel to this spot, located next to a convenience store on Hwy 98 in Durham.The time in line is really quick... yes, there's always a line. And the young lady behind the counter is always pleasant and fun and patient as we decide which of their fare is going home (well, some of the donuts make it home) with us.And YES - every 12 donuts comes with a 13th goodie... always a Baker's Dozen!

Baker's Dozen, for years, was a 5-Star donut shop. I was just there, Feb 19, 2024 and saw the size of their donuts. The Apple Fritters are half the size they used to be. Looks like they have shrunk all of their donuts. Thirteen donuts in the dozen box, slide all over the box. In the past, the donuts would be jammed tight in the box with two Apple Fritters and eleven other donuts. They have raised their prices also. Donuts still taste great though.
Absolutely excellent quality, taste, and service. These donuts exceeded our expectations. After eating some about 8 hours after getting them, they were just as amazing. Will be back for more!

Best donuts around. I go every weekend to get a dozen for my elderly father. The lady behind the counter is easily one of my favorite people. I look forward to the trip each time. Service is friendly and compassionate, and donuts are amazing. Get an apple fritter too.
