Delicious sandwiches, salads, and sides. Veg out sandwich, kale salad, and chicken salad are faves. Convenient online ordering and very nice staff too.

The food here is excellent!!! The chicken salad is my favorite and all the varieties of roasted veggies and tasty salads will help anyone stay on track for their health goals. I have been to several parties catered my CORE as well and the food has been top notch and very different than what is offered in the restaurant. The staff and owner are very hands on and helpful. They are also very accommodating with having young kids in the cafe as well. You should try this place- you will not regret it!

For a place that's hard to find without many signs, it needs to at least be willing to do business! I walked in this morning and the woman at the counter said their system isn't working and they can't sell anything! They could be creative and take cash, but didn't offer that as an option. Not worth going to again!

Basic on every single level. Our office recently ordered from CORE for a catered launch, and while everything was packed up in it's own bag nicely with names on them for easy distribution the food left something to be desired. I had ordered the buffalo chicken wrap which, and the menu doesn't specify much about the orders. The portions were very small. The wrap itself was served cold (to my surprise) and only came with the addition of lettuce on it and some blue cheese. The chicken pieces were fine, but served cold, which I wasn't expecting. Served in basic cellophane in two-halfs. Like is said, it's a very basic presentation. It's not bad, but very no thrills. There was not the addition of chips or anything else to add on to the options, but they did have them to sell separately. I spoke with another coworker who got what I did and his was response was pretty much the same. "it was fine". The South Square area has a lot of competition for good lunches places. Saladelia is very close by and offers a wide variety of similar items for either the same price or a dollar or two more and their presentation is honestly much better. Their buffalo chicken wrap is just a more desirable thing to eat. CORE seems like a fine place if you're trying to cater to large groups, but it's very impressive food and like I said earlier there's a lot more interesting options in walking distance.

This clean and bright cafe speaks to my heart. And stomach! Lots of fresh options, and friendly to gluten free folks. Best GF oatmeal raisin cookie ever, and I can't wait to try the chocolate chip next. Seems like a good place for a Meetup where you want to talk, as it's relatively quiet. It's a little tricky to find, in the back of the if office building at University and Shannon.

I've been to this cafe a few times: grilled pimento cheese with bacon, tomato, and spinach; tarragon chicken salad; mint, watermelon and feta salad; creamy potato and leek soup; kale salad; local roasted beets; green apple chicken salad; Greek salad; tomato basil soup; banana muffin; cinnamon roll; lemon blueberry bread; pumpkin cream cheese bread; Snickerdoodle cookies! All made in house and all delightful! Fresh baked sandwich breads from Pittsboro Bread Company! I've also been to a few of their catered events. Good stuff! My favorites have been the vegetable curry and sweet potato hummus. This cafe is owned and operated by the same fantastic team that runs the Divinity Cafe at Duke - voted Best on Campus three years running!
