Interesting representation of Banh Mi. As a Vietnamese, I was pleasantly surprised by the adaptation of Banh Mi at KoKyu. Definitely will come back!

Have never had anything even mediocre from here. Just incredible flavors, A+ all around.

It's like 5 restaurants in one location! They all thematically work together but offer lots of options for a variety of tastes. Great all around and service was fast and efficient. Def try this place!

Love this place! A friend highly recommended their Tacos so I've had them a number of times. THEY ARE AWESOME! Last time I was there I tried one of their new Chicken Sandwhiches, THEY ARE AWESOME! The only downside is the odd location, but they make the most of it. Service is always fast and friendly and you can sit outside and have a beer. It is a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

One of our favorite places to get tacos. Love especially the shrimp tacos. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Excellent food and lots of outdoor seating! Highly recommended, especially for lunch on a nice day

Tasty sandwich and pretty competitive fries. The set-up is a little confusing for someone in my age bracket because you're ordering from across multiple restaurants. And it's only through an app. I get it - probably convenient and the youths likely find it second nature. But I was all like "I'm here for the chicken sandwich - why are you showing my burgers?" That said - the food was good! A little tucked away so slightly hard to find. And outdoor seating only.

Great place, the sandwiches were massive and so good. I'm vegetarian, so I ordered the spicy tofu bibimbap which was really flavorful, though I think their sandwiches are their specials. At the time, I didn't notice they had a soy nugget sandwich, but I'll definitely try that next time. There is no indoor seating and the outdoor seating is limited. I would probably just do take out next time. Great place for Asian food!

KoKyu Na'Mean is a cool, casual place to grab a delicious Korean meal to eat. From bahn mi to tacos to hot chicken sandwiches to bowls, they have it all. Vegan and seafood options are also available. The humorous entree names in the menu add to the experience. If you didn't know, now you know. Na'mean??

Food really extraordinary. The new location is plagued with bad service. The order ahead of time. The sign on the door says don't come in. But no one comes out. When asked about it the waiter looked annoyed and walked away. This is heartbreaking considering how good the food is and how well the last location worked.

They moved to a new location, there is outside seating but they are not doing inside seating yet! Coming to food I had the vegetarian ko faux banh mi and it was really good with perfect amount of crunch from the veggie juliennes and the softness from the soybean patty. We also had the root vegetable chaat and that was really yum as well! A must try!

I've stopped by KoKyu Na'Mean for takeout a few times during the pandemic and have honestly been so impressed with everything I've tried. This Asian street-food/fusion spot has so much going for it - for starters, the menu is huge and has a little something for everyone, including tacos, rice bowls, burgers, and a wide variety of unique sandwiches. The prices may seem steep at first, but the quality and flavor profiles make it more than worth it. I have tried their Karaage Bowl and The Viet Satay Sandwich and both were outstanding. I especially loved the honey peanut sauce paired with spicy mayo and the crispy chicken on the Viet Satay sandwich. My husband was equally impressed with the Chicken Bacon Franch sandwich and the Rueben's Cuban special. I've also really enjoyed the unique non-alcoholic frozen beverages they serve. On my most recent visit, I tried a Rosemary Yuzu-Ade. So interesting! They are located near Southpoint Mall, making it an easy detour if you happen to be shopping in the area or traveling through Durham on I-40. As of a few days ago (February 2022), they are offering curbside takeout and patio seating. No indoor dining yet. Service is incredibly friendly and efficient, parking is plentiful, and online ordering is a breeze. One thing to note, I can handle a little spicy heat but not a lot. Most of the menu is easily customizable so if you don't like spicy food, don't let the descriptions keep you away! They make it really simple to request certain ingredients be left off a menu item.

Still our most favorite sandwiches in the triangle. The people are wonderful as well. Eat at KoKyu Na'Mean and smiles will happen immediately.

I was debating whether to try this "fusion" spot since the reviews were mainly between a 5 star and 3 star. But that one girl from NYC gave it a 5 star so I thought alright, maybe she has some taste buds. You have greatly disappointed me ): First thought was that this sandwich is huge! I guess 17$ is okay. Then as I get to the fourth, fifth bite, things start going downhill. This sandwich is just drenched in some sort of "fusion" sauce which was overly salty. Even writing this review an hour later with 24oz of water, my mouth is still dry. Chicken was good, tender, only reason for not giving it a 2 star. If you're from NYC, please try Banh Mi Saigon for a much closer experience to what Vietnam offers. Remember, if a sandwich does not have sauce, then it is lost. But the same sandwich can get lost in the sauce

Every time I come here, I think, "maybe next time will be better." I've been here a few times now and have to say each time I'm underwhelmed. I got the baht mi this time and like most of their items it was packed full of ingredients. The thing is, none of the ingredients stood out; the meat wasn't that great, the sauce was okay. Honestly, putting less in the sandwich would go a long way. All the sauces and ingredients made the bread soggy. It was also overpriced at $16. A bahn mi should have a refreshing taste to it, but this fusion tasted like a burger in a French bun. I've gotten the OG chicken sandwich before, and it was also soggy on one side of the bread, probably because there was too much sauce. Again, I think less would be more, and it might also let them lower their prices.
