VERY happy to have an authentic Puerto Rican food spot in the triangle. The music, the bright colors.. it definitely give you a taste of the culture and flavor of the island. The food is spot on - I would strongly recommend the beef empanadas, mofongo, and the pernil plate! A must-try for sure!

The portions of food offered at this place are huge, so it is worth spending your money on. I highly recommend trying the One Empanada with Chicken, as it is excellent. The Tostones are also good, and I would say that they are the best I have ever had. However, the Mofongo is a bit bland and could use a sauce to go with it. On the other hand, the Queso Frito is very delicious. They offer Cocoricó and other Puerto Rican drinks, and my friend enjoys their bread.

Let me start by saying I’m a flight attendant and a Latin food aficionado. I don't write reviews very often but Koki deserves a damn good one! I ordered Old Havana with ropa vieja and mofongo to go, they were both absolutely delicious! Full of flavor the way Latin food should be. The mofongo was topped with pink onions, so good! If I have one suggestion that would be to make the mofongo a tad moister. Special heads-up to the exceptional service: this awesome dude from Honduras who was working there was super helpful and suggested a few of his favs, which did not disappoint! (I apologize for forgetting his name but my homie was a hard worker and had a positive attitude, def deserves a raise!) ?? ? The yellow rice and pink beans were so freaking good, hit close to home, very habuelita vibes ? 10 outta 10 experience! Def coming back to Koki on my next Durham layover.

The food was great. It was authentic and the portions were large. The people taking our order were very friendly and knowledgeable.We definitely will be back and try some other things on the menu. The mofongo meal was excellent, but seemed a little pricey. The Old Havana was great and priced reasonably. We ended up getting to go boxes because of the large portions.The restaurant is set up for takeout and has a few tables inside. It also has outside seating and plenty of parking. It would be nice if they sold beer or wine.
Good af. Abuelas chicken empanada and the ropa vieja is what I had. The green sauce with the empanada... bomb! The ropa vieja... perfectly seasoned. Very happy with my food.
