Great seafood (fresh and frozen) at reasonable prices. Definitely worth the 20 minute drive from Edenton.

A bit disappointing. Had some fresh fish, but a lot of items that were interesting were in the freezer.
We asked about their restaurant that we saw on Signes driving to the place only to find out that it has been closed for 15

Truck driving job , on Salery at Nixon Fishery.Although the job was fun pay was good and Linda the office lady was nice to deal with , dont expect anything other than a pay check, zero respect and communication is horrable ..First , showing up is required at 7 am every morning sometimes its 9 before you leave. You do nothing for 5 to 7 hours a week in the mornings but sit in the office or your car while the loads are being put together. Almost never leave before 8:15 but still have to be there at 7 and you are gone over nights and weekends at times.You pickup at the same places you drop, 1/2 to 2/3s of your pickups you don't know about till you get there, and you will be blamed for everything that can go wrong even if its Rickys mistake along with everything that happenes to the older model trucks. If you have to make a second run , in one day you won't be told till you get back to the office Ricky will not text or call in respect to the driver , so never plan anything or expect to go home till your on your way.If your hired to drive, no matter how busy it gets 8 even 9 days stright working after offereing to pay one of the other drivers wage on a saturday when using the little trucks and most of the time on Saturday they are used, so I could have a Full two day weekend off, you still work.Do NOT get put on Salery when hired get your agreement in writing and hold onto it. Hired for 5 days sometimes 6 lasted about two weeks then its 6 days every now and then he will let you have 5 if your not needed in the slow times of year. .When it is slow he will tell you to take a day off but you won't know till the night before or till you get to work so planning anything on your off time is almost imposable.Ask for a discount on seafood from the start told he gives everyone a discount. Make sure its on the ticket cause if it goes to the office without it wrote on there you will pay retail.Owner has a timper issue. Feels he needs to yell and scream to control and assumes everything instead of asking then tells everyone he can't find good help.If you put it on the board for a day off and he needs you your told at the last minuet you are not allowed to have that day off.Had to yell and scream after working 6 days straight and asking for the following Monday off for a DR app. Reason I left.LW the second in command is very nice hard working easy to get along with. Don't have one thing negitive to say about LW.
